Altdorfer Chilbi 2027: Date and annual schedule
The municipality of Altdorf sets the traditional Chilbisonntag on the first Sunday after Martini. Martini falls on 11 November every year. In 2027, the first Sunday afterwards is 14 November. The Chilbi usually runs on Saturday and Sunday. This means it takes place on 13 and 14 November 2027. These dates are calculated according to the official annual rule. A separate event announcement for 2027 is still pending.
Winkelplatz and Chilbi fairground
Winkelplatz in Altdorf is the well-known location for the Chilbi rides. Showmen, stalls and visitors gather here. There are also various attractions around the town centre during the festival. However, a detailed site plan for November 2027 is not yet available. The positions of individual rides therefore cannot be guaranteed. Winkelplatz is a good starting point for your visit.
Chilbi rides and local tradition
The municipality describes the Chilbi as a blend of tradition and entertainment. It includes rides, game stalls and market stalls at Winkelplatz. Music and festival food outlets are also part of this long-standing tradition. The classic dish is cabbage with mutton. This is a local tradition, not a complete programme for 2027. It is not yet known which showmen and clubs will take part.
