Crailsheim – Fränkisches Volksfest 2027

The Fränkisches Volksfest Crailsheim 2027 takes place from Friday, 17 September, to Monday, 20 September 2027. The town of Crailsheim confirms the dates for its large fair and local heritage festival in its official events calendar. For four days, the funfair, festival tents, market stalls and the special atmosphere of the so-called fifth season invite you to visit. A Sunday with shops open has also been announced.

Fränkisches Volksfest Crailsheim 2027: tradition in Hohenlohe

The Fränkisches Volksfest is deeply rooted in the town's history. According to the town, its roots go back to 1840. Today, the event is one of the most important fairs in Hohenlohe-Franken. Large numbers of visitors attend every year, while showmen, clubs and market traders set up at Volksfestplatz. The mix of fun, tradition and socialising is what sets the fair apart from an ordinary fairground.

Funfair, festival tents and markets

The fair traditionally includes rides and attractions for different age groups. The market stalls, trade exhibition and festival tents also shape the event. However, applications from showmen for the 2027 edition are still open. There is therefore no confirmed list of individual attractions and operators at present. The structured schedule shows the daily times carried over from the previous year, including the later night-time hours. The exhibition and market stalls may have their own, shorter opening times. The organiser may also change arrangements for 2027.

Parades, a lively festival tent atmosphere and fireworks have also been part of previous editions' traditions. However, specific times and individual dates for 2027 have not yet been confirmed. Admission and travel to Crailsheim fair

According to the town's marketing department, admission to the general fairground is free. You pay separately for individual rides, food, drinks and special offers. Volksfestplatz is next to the town centre and can be reached by car, bus, train or on foot, depending on your route. Be aware of possible road closures and extra visitor traffic.
