Eitorf – Eitorfer Kirmes 2027

Eitorfer Kirmes 2027 takes place in the town centre from Saturday, 25 September, to Tuesday, 28 September 2027. This date follows the municipality's official annual rule: celebrations take place from Saturday to Tuesday on the last weekend in September, and the Tuesday must still fall in September. This traditional funfair dates back to the Middle Ages. In the centre, you can look forward to rides, showmen's stalls, market stalls and a lively atmosphere.

Eitorfer Kirmes 2027 around Marktplatz

Eitorfer Kirmes is one of the largest fairs in the Rhein-Sieg district. The funfair tradition has been documented since the 12th century. Today, Marktplatz, Brückenstraße and the surrounding streets turn into a colourful festival mile every year. You can therefore explore the various attractions easily on foot. The funfair is not confined to a remote fairground; for four days, it takes over the town centre. The exact site plan for the 2027 edition has not yet been published.

Rides and showmen at the funfair

The typical line-up includes large rides, family carousels, show attractions and children's rides. There are also lottery stalls and skill games. Which showmen 2027 will actually be allocated a pitch will only be known once the municipality has made its decisions. We therefore do not present a previous year's line-up as a supposedly confirmed list of participants. For example, the 2026 edition featured various large and small attractions. This shows the variety on offer, but is no guarantee that they will be there in September 2027.

Eitorfer Kirmes 2027: Opening times

For planning purposes, the opening times published on the official organiser's website for the 2026 edition have been included provisionally. At the time, the rides opened at 13 on Saturdays, at 11 on Sundays and Mondays, and at 11 on Tuesdays. The exact closing time for each day is shown in the MEC schedule. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. The municipality may announce changes for 2027. It is therefore worth checking again shortly before your visit.

Opening with ceremonial keg tapping and fireworks

The official opening is traditionally performed by the mayor at Marktplatz. For 2026, the organiser announced a ceremonial keg tapping on Saturday. Eitorfer Kirmes also traditionally ends on Tuesdays with a large fireworks display by the local company WECO. The municipality's annual schedule places it on Tuesday evening. Details of safety zones and confirmation that the display will go ahead on 28 September 2027 have not yet been published. We therefore do not list any new programme items as definitively confirmed.

Market stalls, food stands and free entry

Alongside the rides, you'll find a mix of market stalls, prize draws, food stands and drinks vans. This combination of a traditional market and funfair makes Eitorf interesting for people of different ages. According to regional tourism information, entry to the public funfair area is free. You pay each ride, game, meal and drink directly at the relevant stall. So be sure to set aside a separate budget for family activities.

Getting to Eitorf and parking

The funfair is around Markt 1, 53783 Eitorf. If you arrive by train, you can reach Eitorf town centre on foot. Streets and parking spaces may be temporarily closed to drivers while the site is being set up and taken down. This may mean diversions are needed.
