Übach-Palenberg – Kaiser-Karl-Fest 2027

Kaiser-Karl-Fest 2027 is expected to take place from 17 to 19 September 2027 in Übach-Palenberg. According to Aktionsgemeinschaft Übach-Palenberg e. V., the fair is held every year on the third weekend in September. This is therefore the provisional date. The upper part of Kirchstraße usually becomes a funfair area. There are also traders, food and drink outlets and a stage programme in Palenberg.

Kaiser-Karl-Fest 2027 in the centre of Palenberg

The fair takes place in the Palenberg district and stretches across several streets. According to the organisers, the funfair area is in the upper part of Kirchstraße. Further down Kirchstraße and along Aachener Straße, market traders and craftspeople set up their stalls. Local shops also take part in the fair. You can therefore explore a variety of areas on a walk.

Rides and showmen on Kirchstraße

For the 2026 edition, Aktionsgemeinschaft announced several rides and children's attractions. These included Shaker, Jaguar Trip, bumper cars and various children's carousels. This list describes only the programme from the previous year. Which showmen will attend Kaiser-Karl-Fest 2027 has not yet been confirmed. The rides are therefore not attributed to a new edition without up-to-date evidence.

Kaiser-Karl-Fest 2027: Music, stage and fireworks

Music is part of the traditional programme, alongside the rides. 2026, bands including ILEX and AixFive performed. A samba programme and the Traumkarussell theatre were also included in the organisers' announcement. Fireworks were planned for around 22:30 o'clock on Saturday evening 2026. The association has not published a corresponding confirmation for September 2027. Fireworks and specific performers are therefore not listed as confirmed programme items.

Market stalls, shopping and refreshments

At previous editions, you could find market stalls and offers from local shops along Aachener Straße. There are also food and drink outlets and showmen, so you can combine your visit to the fair with a shopping trip. Sunday traditionally plays an important part too. For 2026, Aktionsgemeinschaft announced that shops would open from 11 o'clock. It has not yet been confirmed whether shops will open again on Sunday 19 September 2027.

Opening hours and admission

A complete official funfair schedule for 2027 has not yet been published. According to the organisers, the event opened at 14 o'clock on both Friday and Saturday the previous year. This information does not automatically constitute the full schedule for 2027. The times are therefore temporarily hidden from the calendar. Access to the public festival area has so far been free. Individual rides, food, drinks and special offers may incur a charge.

Getting to Kaiser-Karl-Fest in Übach-Palenberg

Use the Kirchstraße area in the Palenberg district as a guide when travelling to the fair. The different attractions stretch towards Aachener Straße. Traffic changes and temporary road closures may occur during the fair. It is therefore worth checking the latest travel information from Aktionsgemeinschaft and the town before setting off. The exact layout of the rides and market stalls will become clear only when the new programme is published.
