Bergneustadt Marksmen's Festival 2027 at Schützenplatz
The festival is one of the major events in the Oberberg region. The funfair area is at Schützenplatz on Brückenstraße. The club celebrations also take place in a festival tent; in previous years, the Martinrea car park was used for this. The festival therefore brings together different venues for rides, traditions and music.
Traditionally, members of the Schützenverein celebrate together with guests from Bergneustadt and the surrounding area. The club's solidarity and the lively marksmen's traditions are also at the heart of the festival. Visitors can enjoy entertainment on the fairground and get to know the local festival culture.
Funfair and attractions at Bergneustadt Marksmen's Festival 2027
Previous editions of the funfair at Schützenplatz have featured rides, classic game stalls and food and drink stands. Reports on the 2024 edition also showed larger fairground structures with carousels. However, this does not mean the same showmen 2027 will return. A confirmed line-up of rides for the coming year has not yet been published.
Families can stroll around the fairground and explore the different attractions. Afterwards, food and drink stalls offer a place to take a break. At the same time, the marksmen's festival creates a special atmosphere that differs from a funfair consisting only of rides.
Bergneustadt Marksmen's Festival 2027: Opening times
The official festival dates run from Friday, 14 May, to Monday, 17 May 2027. The club has not yet published a full opening times schedule for the 2027 funfair. We are therefore not showing daily opening times at present. At the 2026 edition, the funfair sometimes lasted longer than the four-day marksmen's festival. The closing time of the 2027 funfair is therefore still to be confirmed separately.
Marksmen's traditions and evening events
In previous years, the programme included marksmen's performances, festival tent events and music events. For example, a Mallorca party was held in the festival tent to kick things off in 2026. Such special events may have separate admission charges and age restrictions. However, the 2026 programme is not an announcement for 2027.
Admission and getting to Bergneustadt
Admission to the public funfair site has traditionally been free. You pay separately for rides, food and any ticketed festival tent events. Brückenstraße is in the town of Bergneustadt.
