Dortmund-Huckarde – Pingsthuekke Whitsun Funfair 2027

Pingsthuekke Whitsun Funfair 2027 will once again bring a funfair atmosphere to the centre of Dortmund-Huckarde from Friday, 14 May, to Monday, 17 May 2027. The City of Dortmund expressly describes the “Pingsthuekke” as an event that always takes place over the Whitsun weekend. This means the dates for 2027 are as stated; a separate announcement for this edition is still awaited.

Pingsthuekke Whitsun Funfair 2027: dates and location

Around Huckarder Marktplatz, Rahmer Straße and the neighbouring streets, the district traditionally turns into a festival area over Whitsun. You can explore the site on foot, moving between rides, children's activities and food stalls. The detailed site plan for 2027 has not yet been published. Rahmer Straße 15 is therefore a useful location reference for now.

Rides for different age groups

For the 2026 edition, the City of Dortmund announced, among other things, Break Dance, Twister, bumper cars and other rides. There were also carousels and special children's attractions for younger visitors. However, it is not yet known which showmen will actually come to Huckarde for 2027. The rides mentioned are therefore examples from the previous year only, not the line-up of rides for 2027.

Pingsthuekke Whitsun Funfair 2027: opening times

The opening times are provisionally based on the details for 2026: on Friday, the funfair opened at 16; on Saturday and Sunday, it opened at 14, and on Whitsun Monday, also at 14. It was open until midnight on Friday and over the weekend, and until 22 on Monday. You can find each day's times in the opening times section. If different times are published for 2027, the new details will of course apply.

Programme, admission and family day

In 2026, the funfair began with a family day, an official opening and fireworks on Friday evening. It has not yet been announced whether these events will return for 2027, or at what times. Specific ride prices and any discounts for 2027 have also not been announced. So don't plan around a particular discount or fireworks time until the city confirms the new programme.

Getting to Huckarde town centre

You can reach the area by bus and light rail via the Huckarde Bushof or Huckarder Markt stops. As streets in the town centre may be closed during the funfair, public transport is a practical alternative. Traffic arrangements and parking options for the 2027 edition have not yet been confirmed. Check the city's latest information before your visit.

A long-standing Whitsun tradition
