Jungle Street – Toboggan
Walk-through glass maze with a jungle setting
Operator: Ernst und Claudia Rodel (Switzerland)
Jungle Street Rodel is a walk-through glass maze run by the Swiss showman family Rodel. Instead of getting into a car, you set off yourself to find the right way. Glass panels, mirrors and a jungle theme make the walk an experience that repeatedly puts your sense of direction to the test.

- Family-friendly
Jungle Street is not a ride where you can sit back and relax: here, you find your way through mirrors, glass and a playful jungle world.
Jungle Street Rodel: through the glass maze
What makes Jungle Street special is its combination of a maze and a traditional walk-through attraction. You move through the structure on foot and have to decide which passage is really clear. Transparent panels and reflections can make paths seem to be there, while other passages only become visible when you look more closely. This creates a different kind of excitement from a fast, circular ride.
The jungle world also gives the course its own distinctive character. The design plays with plant motifs and figures from an adventurous setting. So a visit is more than just finding your way between glass panels: the walk is also about the scenery and the little surprises around the next corner.

Jungle Street: layout and features
The operator's documents list the glass maze as 14 metres long, 8,5 metres wide and 9 metres high. Its connected load is given as 20 kilowatts. These dimensions show that the walk-through maze is a substantial, multi-part fairground attraction.
The glass and mirror passages give the walkthrough its character. If you’d like to discover more unusual walk-through attractions, browse our overview of attractions. Jungle Street shows how varied a visit to a Swiss Chilbi can be, even without a fast ride.
The story of Jungle Street and the Rodel family
The Rodel family has also been part of the Swiss showman scene for a long time. The H & C Rodel family business website features Jungle Street among its former attractions. It also provides a technical description of the glass maze. The attraction remains associated with the Rodel name within the showman family and is linked to Ernst and Claudia Rodel.
The family's history extends beyond individual attractions: the operator's website documents older children's carousels, games and other rides. In this tradition, Jungle Street represents a different side of the fairground, where discovery rather than the ride itself takes centre stage.

Who is Jungle Street Rodel for?
Jungle Street is for visitors who enjoy getting involved and solving a puzzle together. Unlike on bumper cars or a roller coaster, you set your own pace here. If you don't find the passage straight away, you can get your bearings again and try another direction.
Finding your way through the different routes is especially fun with friends or family. Who will find the exit first, and who will end up back at the same mirror? The challenge comes from perception and direction-finding, not high speed. For children, the entry rules displayed at the entrance apply.
