Troika – The Snow Track (Steinmann)
Winter Musik-Express ride with 32.000 LEDs
Operator: Troika Bremen KG – Ronny Steinmann (Bremen) · since 2025
Troika Schneebahn Steinmann is a travelling Musik-Express from Bremen that combines the classic undulating ride experience with an unusual winter world. Instead of an ordinary funfair façade, you’ll find a fully designed snowy landscape: a polar bear appears as a DJ, a white stag wears ski goggles, and small scenes continue the theme beyond the track. The ride is operated by the Steinmann family’s Troika Bremen KG and is at home at northern German fairs as well as winter events.

What it’s like to ride Troika Schneebahn Steinmann
The cars circle along a wave-shaped track. The rising and falling sections alternate with curves, while the music sets the rhythm. The interplay of movement, speed and sound is what gives a Musik-Express its character. Troika also features a fully developed setting that can be viewed not only from the front but from the sides too. So it’s worth taking a look at the many wintry figures before you get on.
The Schneebahn shows another side after dark: according to the operator, more than 32.000 LED lights illuminate the façade and cars. The ride also uses frequency-controlled drive technology. This combines the traditional design of a Musik-Express with an elaborate modern presentation. The cars have high side and backrests; the safety bars are fitted with shock absorbers so they don’t spring back uncontrollably when you get on or off.

History of Troika Schneebahn Steinmann
The Musik-Express was built by Mack in 1976 and, according to ride database Ride-Index, made its debut at the spring market in Heide in March 1977. The ride initially travelled under Vespermann from Neumünster. Karl-Heinz Heine from Bremen followed, then Frank Ahrend from 2012. The Steinmann family has operated it since 2025. The current official operator website names Ronny and Milena Steinmann as the showman family and lists Ronny Steinmann as the owner.
The snow theme goes beyond a single façade motif. The ticket booth, visitor bench and construction fencing are also part of the overall look. According to the operator, the decoration can be adapted to the season. That’s why Troika is not limited to Christmas markets: the official tour schedule for 2026 includes, among others, Bremer Osterwiese, Lübecker Volksfest, Peiner Freischießen and Bremer Freimarkt.

Who is the Schneebahn suitable for?
If you enjoy classic rides with music and changing movements, Troika is an interesting choice. It is not an inversion ride or a roller coaster, but an undulating ride with its own appeal. Its detailed winter setting also makes it interesting for people who want to explore the design before the ride. The operator family makes a point of providing easy access with non-slip flooring. You can find out directly at the ride which rules apply to children riding.
