Highlights & records

Four parallel slides with waves – racing possible.

On the road since 1987: Four lanes, plenty of bumps and lots of racing make La Suisse a family favourite.

What it's like to ride La Suisse Delforge

First, pick up a sliding mat and climb the stairs. At the top, sit on the mat and off you go. You'll slide down over several bumps, with a little flutter in your stomach at each crest. With four parallel lanes, you can also race your friends or siblings.

A gentle run-out slows you down at the bottom. Then you return the mat or head straight back up.

History of La Suisse

Barbieri supplied the slide 1987, which has travelled around Belgium with the Delforge family ever since. Giant slides of this kind have been part of the funfair scene in the Benelux countries for decades. There is also an interesting family connection: the Delforges used to travel with a second Barbieri slide called Toboggan, which now belongs to showman Roels.

Who is the giant slide suitable for?

La Suisse is a classic family ride. Children love racing down the slides, and adults are happy to climb up for another go. Small children should be able to climb stairs safely, though, as you have to make your own way up. You can ask at the ticket office whether there is an age limit. For example, it's worth putting your phone and keys away safely before sliding.
