Jaarmarktkermis Gavere 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, 15, and Monday, 16 November, in the town centre of Gavere. This is based on the published municipal rule. As 1 November 2026 falls on a Sunday, the funfair Sunday and annual market will exceptionally take place a week later. The dates are therefore derived from the official scheduling rule; a separate, up-to-date announcement with opening hours has not yet been found.

Jaarmarktkermis Gavere 2026: what makes this date special

In most years, Gavere holds its second funfair on the second Sunday in November. However, the municipal date rule provides for an exception when All Saints' Day, 1 November, falls on a Sunday. That is the case in 2026. The funfair Sunday is therefore 15 November, and the fairground market Monday is 16 November.

Some general calendars already list Saturday, 14 November, as an additional funfair day. However, the municipal documents reviewed do not provide separate confirmation of this. We are therefore initially showing only the two days that follow from the municipal rule. The exact opening hours also remain unconfirmed.

The fair is nothing new in Gavere. The municipality dates the tradition of the large fair back to 1628. This means the event has a history spanning several centuries. The combination of market activity and funfair has become a fixture in the local calendar.
