Rentier-Flug – Vermolen

Design and special features

The organiser lists ten reindeer sleigh gondolas. Each sleigh has room for two children accompanied by an adult, or for two adults. With a height of up to eight metres, the attraction is a family-friendly high ride with its own Christmas theme.

The design helps the ride blend into the overall themed setting, especially at the Christmas market. Even after dark, the lighting and decorations are an important part of the experience.

Reindeer Flight: What to expect on the ride

On Rentier-Flug, you take a seat in a festively decorated reindeer sleigh. The gondolas move around a large Santa Claus figure and rise to a height of eight metres during the ride. This creates a little flying experience that is clearly different from a flat children's carousel.

You can watch the guests enjoying the ride from the edge and see which seats are available. So it is worth taking a moment to watch how the ride moves before getting on.

Reindeer Flight: Background and Funfair Appearances

Rentier-Flug is described as a ride type in its own right on the current attractions page for Cranger Weihnachtszauber. The specialist 2026 line-up of rides lists Vermolen under the name Flying Santa / Rentier-Flug. This should be distinguished from the separate high-wire show featuring the flying Father Christmas.

Who is the attraction suitable for?

According to the organiser, even children from birth may ride with an adult accompanying them. From the age of six, they can ride on their own. If your child has never tried an aerial carousel before, you can watch how it moves together first.

You can find more family rides and major funfair attractions in our attraction guide. The applicable safety and access rules are always displayed at the ride.
