Highlights & records
Bee and beetle theming; compact family roller coaster with one train.
With the colourful Insektenbahn, Edmund Kaiser brings a real roller coaster train to the family area of the fairground – without loops, but with plenty of excitement.
How Bugs & Bees Kaiser rides
The ride belongs to the family of so-called Big Apple or Wacky Worm roller coasters. The train travels along a compact steel track, first climbing the ascent and then passing through bends and gentle changes in height. The sensation comes less from extreme acceleration than from travelling together on the train. This manageable design can be an exciting introduction for children who want to try their first roller coaster ride.
Passengers sit side by side in pairs in the train. The insect-themed design accompanies them throughout the ride and gives the coaster its own character. Parents or other accompanying adults can also easily follow the action from the sidelines. As the ride does not include inversions, attention remains on the bends, the small drops and the reactions of the other riders.

History of Bugs & Bees Kaiser
The steel roller coaster was built in 2004 by the Turkish manufacturer DAL Amusement. Before joining Kaiser, it travelled with Dutch showman Martin Hendriks. In 2020, Edmund Kaiser took over the ride and brought it to German fairgrounds. This operating history is important because older photos and reports may show the same physical coaster under Hendriks. The ride remains one of the smaller transportable roller coasters with a single train.

Operator and other family attractions
The Edmund Kaiser operation presents Bugs & Bees together with the larger family roller coaster Twister. While Twister appeals to a different audience, the bee and beetle coaster offers an accessible introduction to roller coasters. Who is Bugs & Bees Kaiser suitable for?
The coaster is specifically aimed at families and children. According to the operator, children aged six and over may ride alone. The exact access conditions and staff instructions naturally apply on site. If you are looking for high speeds, loops or a particularly long track, you are not the main target audience here. Instead, Bugs & Bees offers the chance to experience a real roller coaster ride on a comparatively small attraction.
The compact design is also an advantage at the fairground: among larger rides, the coaster creates a clearly visible family area. For children, watching the train in motion is often part of the excitement. If you are visiting with several generations, the ride can be a shared stop on your fairground stroll.
