Black Pearl – Frank
Black Pearl Frank – travelling ride
Operator: Showman Frank
Black Pearl Frank – Black Pearl Frank is a pirate ship ride with a nautical theme. You sit together with other passengers in a large ship that swings back and forth. This specifically refers to showman Frank's ride, not one of the many other Black Pearl pirate ship rides. This distinction matters because the year of manufacture, size and operator can vary considerably from ride to ride.

What to expect on Black Pearl Frank
The ride starts with smaller swinging movements. The ship then rises higher and higher, so you clearly feel the change of direction at the highest points. Your view alternates between the fairground in front of you and the sky above the ride. Unlike an inverted swing ride, the classic pirate ship follows a pendulum path. The documented capacity is thirty people; the exact ride duration has not been reliably published.

Black Pearl Frank: history and special features
The Czech manufacturer Husek built the ride in 2012. Ride-Index lists Akim Blum as the operator in 2012 and 2013 and currently lists the ride under Frank. The data sheet also uses the name Pirates of the Caribbean. A height of fifteen metres and a footprint of sixteen by eight metres are documented. When looking at older photos, you should therefore identify the ride by its design and operator history.

Who is this ride suitable for?
Black Pearl is especially suitable for a visit if you enjoy the typical thrill of a pirate ship ride. If you want to get a feel for the movement first, you can watch a whole ride from the outside. How it feels varies depending on where you sit. The current riding rules and fare are displayed at the ride. Do not confuse this ride with other pirate ships, even if they have a similar façade.
Tips and further information
You can find more rides in our attractions overview. The historical and technical details come from the data sheet for this specific ride. Previous operators and names are important when looking at old photos. Before visiting, check the current prices and riding requirements directly at the ride. There is no reliable basis for estimating missing height restrictions, ride times or capacities, so these fields have been left blank. Participation in a particular fair should be distinguished from the permanent description of the ride.
