Wijnegem – Easter fair 2027

The Paasfoor Wijnegem 2027 is provisionally scheduled for Saturday, 27 March, to Easter Monday, 29 March 2027 on the Marktplein. The municipality confirms this event format for the Easter weekend 2026, including exact opening hours. The dates for 2027 follow the Easter calendar but have not yet been published separately. In addition, a fair traditionally takes place along the Turnhoutsebaan on Easter Monday.

Paasfoor Wijnegem 2027 on Marktplein

Marktplein is in the centre of Wijnegem in the province of Antwerp. A funfair with rides and games is set up in the square at Easter. The municipal administration also published the exact three event days for 2026, from Holy Saturday to Easter Monday. So the corresponding weekend 2027 falls from 27 to 29 March. Rides, bumper cars and sweets

The municipality's official description for 2026 lists carousels, bumper cars and traditional duck fishing as examples. Smoutebollen and candyfloss are also available. Individual showmen and specific rides have therefore not yet been confirmed for the next edition. The funfair is also aimed at families and visitors of different age groups. Paasfoor Wijnegem 2027: Opening hours

Opening hours are provisional, as of 2026. The municipality gave the hours as 14 to 22 on Saturdays and Sundays, and 10 to 21 on Easter Monday. These documented daily time slots have therefore been included in the MEC schedule as a guide. However, the 2027 edition still needs to confirm these hours explicitly. Please note that the market on Easter Monday has its own schedule, which should not be confused with the opening hours of all the rides. For 2026, the market stalls were announced to run from 10 until no later than 16.

Easter Monday market and traffic arrangements

A market traditionally takes place on Turnhoutsebaan alongside the fair. According to the municipality, it stretches from the area around ‘t Gasthuis towards Café De Sax. There are market stalls, food and local club activities, among other things. Streets are regularly closed and bus services diverted to allow for the set-up. The specific routes for 2027 have not yet been announced. Therefore, the traffic information for the 2026 edition is not a valid road-closure map for the following year. Admission and getting to Wijnegem

The public funfair site at Marktplein is normally accessible without a general admission ticket. You pay separately for rides, games and food and drink. You can reach the town centre by public transport using regional bus services; there may be diversions over Easter. Parking spaces at Marktplein and Turnhoutsebaan may also be unavailable.
