Schwyz – Schwyzer Chilbi 2027

The Schwyzer Chilbi 2027 is scheduled to take place in Schwyz from Saturday, 9 October to Monday, 11 October 2027. The Schwyzer Kilbi association has already published these dates in its overview of upcoming Chilbi dates. This traditional fair brings together Chilbi rides, market stalls, food and drink, and the work of local clubs right in the town centre. This gives you a mix of funfair, village life and family-friendly entertainment.

Schwyzer Chilbi 2027: Celebrations at Hauptplatz

Hauptplatz is one of the event's defining locations. The previous layout also included Reichsstrasse, Redinghofstatt, Strehlgasse, Hofmatt and Herrengasse as other festival areas. Chilbi stalls, rides, food and drink outlets and market stalls may be spread across these locations. This transforms the familiar town centre into a varied festival mile during the Chilbi. However, the exact layout of the locations 2027 depends on the new safety and stall plan. An old plan is not a reliable guide to the current locations of rides.

Rides and Chilbi market

The Schwyzer Chilbi's character comes from its traditional showman attractions and a goods market. Local clubs also run various festival venues and stalls. The programme therefore appeals not only to people who want to go on as many rides as possible, but also to visitors who meet up for a meal or to celebrate together. The specific rides and showmen for October 2027 have not yet been confirmed. Rides from previous editions are therefore not listed as the current line-up of rides.

Organiser and tradition

The Schwyzer Kilbi association organises the festival in collaboration with local clubs. Its published concept focuses on a varied, affordable offer for all ages. Local providers and an orderly festival operation are also important. The organiser publishes the annual dates several years in advance. However, the exact musical programme, club-run pubs and special events may change every year, so details for 2027 must be announced separately.

Schwyzer Chilbi 2027: Admission and opening times

The public Chilbi site in the town centre is normally open to everyone without a general admission ticket. Rides, games, food and drink incur separate costs; individual special offers may have their own terms. Full official opening times for Saturday, Sunday and Monday 2027 have not yet been published. In particular, guidance from an older organiser's concept should not automatically be treated as confirmed daily opening times. A detailed MEC schedule is therefore not yet available.

Getting there and safety

Schwyz town centre can be reached by bus from the surrounding area; public transport runs from Schwyz railway station in Seewen to the town centre. During the Chilbi, parking spaces at Hauptplatz and several streets may be temporarily closed. For previous editions, the organiser recommended parking at Mythen Forum and Hofmatt.
