What to expect

Peiner Freischießen 2027: From Friday, 2 July to Tuesday, 6 July 2027, the town celebrates its large marksmen's festival. The official organisers have confirmed the dates and have already published an extensive programme. The traditional combination of marksmen's customs, music and funfair also marks the start of July each year. At the Schützenplatz, visitors of all ages can enjoy rides, food stalls and various event tents.

Peiner Freischießen 2027: Venue and atmosphere

In addition, the Schützenplatz on Am Schützenplatz is the centre of the festival. According to the organiser, it is the largest event area in the city. The city centre and the historic market square are also part of the festivities. Large festival processions pass along Breite Straße, Gröpern and Schützenstraße. This makes it easy to combine a visit to the funfair with the official ceremonies. The seven companies also give this special city festival its character.

Rides and showmen

The Peiner Freischießen e. V. association gives a typical range of 80 to 90 showman’s attractions for the fair. These include a changing mix of fast rides, children’s carousels, traditional games and food and drink vendors. Which individual attractions have been booked for 2027 has not yet been published in a complete list. For this reason, no attractions from previous years are presented as new bookings. The specific carousels will be added once the line-up of rides has been confirmed.

Food and drink and an outing experience

Afterwards, you can enjoy a snack between the rides or visit a corporation tent. Marching bands and brass bands accompany the event. The marksmen's community's evening gatherings are also an important part of the Freischießen. There are various activities for families at the fairground. The combination of historic tradition and funfair attractions also gives this fair its distinctive character.

Peiner Freischießen 2027: Dates and opening hours

However, the full daily operating hours for all rides have not yet been published for each individual day. Unconfirmed daily opening times are therefore not shown.
