Kamen – Severinsmarkt 2027

Severinsmarkt Kamen 2027 is expected to take place from Friday, 15 October, to Monday, 18 October 2027. The City of Kamen holds this traditional market every year on the third weekend in October. A separate official date announcement for 2027 has not yet been made. Around Alter Markt, Marktstraße and Willy-Brandt-Platz, you can expect carousels, funfair stalls and a range of food and drink.

Severinsmarkt Kamen 2027 in the town centre

Severinsmarkt is one of the four regular funfairs held in Kamen. Unlike Pflaumenkirmes in Methler, it is right in Kamen-Mitte. The fair covers Alter Markt and Willy-Brandt-Platz. Marktstraße is also included in the funfair area. So you can easily walk between rides, game stalls and food stands. The exact site plan for 2027 has not yet been finalised.

Rides and showmen at Severinsmarkt

The City of Kamen reported around 40 participating showmen for 2026. At the time, the line-up included bumper cars, Musik-Express and Twister. There were also three children's carousels and numerous games, including duck fishing, shooting galleries and claw machines. However, this list is explicitly the line-up of rides from the previous year. It is not yet known which attractions will travel to Kamen for 2027. Therefore, no previous rides are linked as confirmed participants.

Severinsmarkt Kamen 2027: opening times

For the 2026 edition, the official opening began at 15 on Friday. The city otherwise gave the market's daily opening times as 14:30 to 23. On Monday, it closed at 21. This gives a provisional daily schedule for the corresponding days of the week 2027. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. The updated times for October 2027 have not yet been published. You should therefore check them again before visiting.

Family day on Monday and special activities

Monday traditionally marks the end of Severinsmarkt. The city promotes this day with discounted offers on rides and games. For 2026, short free rides were also announced for the official opening. These activities make the fair especially appealing to families. However, it is not yet known which discounts and programme items will actually be offered on 18 October 2027. The calendar therefore does not include any made-up individual event times.

Funfair treats and admission

Alongside the carousels, a varied range of food and drink is part of the event. At Severinsmarkt 2026, the choice ranged from bratwurst and chips to confectionery. Crêpes, candyfloss and international snacks were also available. Based on previous practice, the public area in the town centre was accessible without an admission ticket. However, rides, games and food cost extra. So you can also just drop by for a short stroll around the funfair.

Getting there and traffic changes in Kamen

The funfair is located in the centre of 59174 Kamen, at Alter Markt and Willy-Brandt-Platz. So walking through the town centre is a good way to get there. During the 2026 event, the weekly market was temporarily moved to Adenauerstraße. There were also road closures around Marktstraße. The town still has to announce the specific arrangements for October 2027. So check the latest information about parking and bus services before you travel.
