Heenvliet – Paardenmarkt 2027

Paardenmarkt Heenvliet 2027 – from Friday, 14 May, to Monday, 17 May 2027, the traditional horse market atmosphere of the Dutch town of Heenvliet combines with a large funfair. The official regional tourism organisation Voorne-Putten specifically lists this period for 2027. The Paardenmarkt Heenvliet Foundation organises the event, which is much more than an ordinary market.

Paardenmarkt Heenvliet 2027: Pentecost with rides

The funfair is an integral part of the Paardenmarkt. In recent years, there have been both large rides and children's attractions, games and food stalls. The mix of showmen and the historic town centre is especially enjoyable: you can stroll around the funfair and then experience the traditional horse market. However, no official line-up of rides has yet been confirmed for 2027. The list published by the organiser for 2026 is therefore only an indication of the previous year's event and is not a guarantee for the coming year.

Where does the funfair take place?

The funfair was most recently held on a large site at Verdouwenhoeck, with another smaller area nearby. Horse trading takes place mainly at the market in the town centre. The exact showmen's layout plan for 2027 has not yet been published. The listed funfair location is therefore for guidance only and does not confirm the location of individual stalls.

Opening hours, admission and prices

A daily schedule is available for the funfair: Friday from 19:00 to 02:00, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 02:00, and Monday from 08:00 to 20:00. The regional events calendar lists separate times for the overall festival; these should not be confused with the funfair opening times. According to the regional events calendar, admission is free. Individual rides, games or special offers may cost extra. Current ride prices are not yet available.

What happens on Whit Monday?

On Monday, 17 May 2027, the traditional horse trading takes centre stage. According to the official tourism information, bargaining and trading begin at 07:00. Market stalls, arts and crafts, music and historic vehicles also usually feature over the festival weekend. The full programme for 2027, including individual performance times, has not yet been published. So don't rely on previous stage programmes when planning your visit.

Paardenmarkt Heenvliet 2027: getting there and parking

Heenvliet is part of the municipality of Nissewaard on Voorne-Putten. At the last event, the organiser used a parking area at Bernisse Oost between Geervliet and Heenvliet and arranged a shuttle to the festival. There were also extensive road closures in the town centre. It is not yet clear whether the shuttle, parking charges and road closures will be arranged in the same way for 2027. Check the organiser's latest information before setting off.
