Bern – BEA with funfair 2027
What to expect
BEA Bern 2027 is officially confirmed to take place from 30.04.2027 to 09.05.2027. Here you can find information about the festival site, attractions and visitor information.
BEA Bern 2027: official fair dates
BEA Bern is scheduled to run from Friday, 30 April, to Sunday, 9 May 2027. The large public fair also brings together exhibitors from a range of walks of life, alongside entertainment and food and drink. A dedicated funfair is also planned at the BERNEXPO site. The dates for the upcoming edition have been confirmed on the official BEA website. The rest of the fair programme and the specific showmen's names may still change before spring.
Funfair at Hyspaplatz and Ferris wheel
The funfair at BEA is spread across several areas. The larger rides are at Hyspaplatz, while the Ferris wheel is at Guisanplatz and has separate opening times. Both locations are part of the BERNEXPO site. This makes it easy to combine a visit to the fair with rides. However, a complete named line-up of rides for 2027 is still pending. For this reason, no rides from 2026 are being attributed to 2027 without evidence.
Rides and other fair attractions
BEA promotes fast rides, classic funfair attractions and relaxed moments on the Ferris wheel. There are also exhibition halls, food and drink, animal exhibits and a range of themed areas. The outdoor area also includes food and drink stalls for visitors. The specific offerings from individual exhibitors and showmen do not remain unchanged throughout the season. A complete official list of rides for 2027 is not currently available. It will be added once published.
BEA Bern 2027: admission and funfair opening times
According to the official price list, standard admission for adults to BEA 2027 costs CHF 20. Concession tickets, family offers and evening tickets are also available. Rides at the funfair may cost extra. The officially published opening times for the rides at Hyspaplatz are listed in this event's MEC timetable. The Ferris wheel at Guisanplatz has different operating hours. The exhibition halls also close earlier than the funfair, which stays open late. Please bear these differences in mind when planning your visit.
Getting to the BERNEXPO site
The site is at Mingerstrasse 6 in Bern-Wankdorf. Tram route 9 runs from the main station to the Guisanplatz Expo stop. Alternatively, you can reach the site via Bern Wankdorf station. From there, you can change trains or walk. Public transport is recommended, especially at weekends. The organiser also publishes information about car parks and possible special arrangements.
BEA traditions and visitor information
BEA is a long-established Swiss public exhibition. For many years, it has brought together themes such as agriculture, food and drink, crafts and leisure. The funfair brings a traditional showman atmosphere to the exhibition grounds. The title image used here shows an earlier BEA from 2011 and is explicitly an archive image. You can find more fairs in the funfair calendar. Current opening times and admission prices are listed on the official BEA website.
