What to expect

The Arendcarnaval Aalst 2027 is expected to be celebrated in the Den Arend district from Friday, 26 March, to Sunday, 28 March 2027. The dates appear in a funfair calendar, but have not been separately confirmed by the City of Aalst for 2027. The event should not be confused with the major Aalst carnival in February. A smaller neighbourhood fair with a possible funfair is expected around Heidestraat.

Arendcarnaval Aalst 2027 in the Den Arend district

Aalst is in the province of East Flanders and is particularly known for its carnival tradition. However, Arendcarnaval belongs to a separate district and takes place much later in spring than the city's major carnival. The city lists Arendcarnaval in its overview of recurring funfairs and fairs. For 2026, it gives 3 and 4 April. The dates given here, 2027, come from a later calendar listing and should be officially checked again before the event.

Small funfair and carnival in the district

This local event is an alternative to large, busy city-centre festivals. Smaller district fairs typically feature a modest range of rides, game stalls and places to get refreshments. However, there is no confirmation yet of which businesses will take part in Arendcarnaval 2027. We therefore do not list any current showmen or specific rides. The city has also not yet announced the number of attractions for the new edition. Our title illustration is a symbolic image and not a photograph of a previous Arendcarnaval.

Arendcarnaval Aalst 2027: Opening times

A complete official daily schedule for 2027, including the opening and closing times of the rides, is not yet available. The city's overview lists the previous year's festival but does not give reliable daily operating times for the upcoming edition. The structured opening times schedule will therefore remain blank for now. The reported dates include Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday. This overlap with the Easter holidays is correct according to the calendar, but does not provide additional confirmation of the programme. Check the latest festival announcement before travelling.

Entry, family visits and festival programme

Entry to small funfairs on public streets is usually free. However, individual charges apply for rides, game stalls, food and drink. No special admission arrangements have been announced yet for Arendcarnaval 2027. There are also no reliable published times for a carnival procession or family day at present. We therefore do not include programmes from the major Aalst carnival. You can combine your visit with other activities in the district, but should check the final road layout.

Getting there and official information

Heidestraat in Aalst, East Flanders province, is a useful landmark for the local festival. Areas may be reserved for funfair stalls during the event. Public transport or parking outside any possible restricted zones is therefore recommended. The City of Aalst publishes an overview of its funfairs, including Arendcarnaval. More small district fairs and folk festivals are listed in our calendar.
