Luzern – Luga with funfair 2027

Luga Luzern 2027 is officially confirmed to take place from 30.04.2027 to 09.05.2027. Here you can find information about the festival site, attractions and visitor information.

Luga Luzern 2027: confirmed date

The Central Swiss spring fair Luga takes place from Friday, 30 April to Sunday, 9 May 2027. Messe Luzern has already officially announced these dates. The spring fair brings together regional exhibitors, special exhibitions and a range of leisure activities. A funfair is also part of the traditional experience. Individual attractions and the full event programme for 2027 will be announced separately at a later date. Ride names therefore remain unconfirmed for now.

Lunapark at the Luzern Allmend

The exhibition grounds are located at Horwerstrasse 87 on the Allmend in Lucerne. The funfair is in the outdoor area, near other meeting and catering areas. This also makes a visit worthwhile without an extensive tour of the exhibition halls. However, the exact line-up of rides for 2027 has not yet been confirmed. Check the latest site plan later for the entrances and marked routes.

Showmen and rides

At previous editions of Luga, the Lunapark offered thrilling rides, a Ferris wheel, classic carousels, game stalls and food stands. The trade fair explicitly describes the area as a meeting place for families and adrenaline fans. The halls also feature products and presentations from Central Switzerland. It has not been confirmed whether all the rides from previous years will return in 2027. This entry therefore does not include an unverified line-up of rides.

Luga Luzern 2027: Admission and opening hours

It is important to distinguish between the trade fair and the funfair. At Luga 2026, the funfair was explicitly accessible without a Luga ticket. For 2027, final confirmation of this arrangement is still pending. Visiting the exhibition halls, on the other hand, generally requires a paid admission ticket. Ticket prices for 2027 are to be published later. The daily funfair opening times for 2027 are also not yet fully available. For this reason, last year's opening times are not listed as current operating hours.

Getting to Messe Luzern

Luga takes place at the exhibition centre on Horwerstrasse 87. You can easily reach Luzerner Allmend by public transport. The Luzern Allmend/Messe S-Bahn station is particularly close to the site. There are also bus connections from the city. If you are travelling by car, check the latest parking and travel advice. Traffic on the approach roads may be heavier during the spring fair.

Spring fair with a funfair atmosphere

For many years, Luga has been an important meeting place for business, culture and leisure in Central Switzerland. The combination with the funfair also makes it interesting for funfair fans. In previous years, having a separate entrance to the rides was particularly convenient. Check shortly before your visit whether this arrangement will also apply to the new edition. You can find more fairs in the funfair calendar. For definitive information, see the official Luga website.
