The Frankfurter Herbst-Dippemess 2027 takes place from 10.09.2027 to 26.09.2027. The event dates have been confirmed by the official organiser. On this page, you can find information about rides, the programme, admission, opening times and how to get there.

Frankfurter Herbst-Dippemess 2027: fair at Ratsweg

Festplatz am Ratsweg is close to the ice rink in eastern Frankfurt. Historically, Dippemess dates back to a market where potters sold, among other things, vessels known locally as “Dippe”. Today, it has become a large fair. The autumn edition is a separate event from the spring Dippemess. You can also find market stalls, food stalls and a colourful atmosphere throughout the site.

Rides, games stalls and food

You can usually find large and small rides, children's carousels, games and food stalls at Dippemess. However, it has not yet been decided which individual rides and operators will arrive in September 2027. Therefore, previous appearances are not being presented as current bookings. The two photos used show authentic scenes from 2025 and are explicitly archive photos. According to the organiser, there is no traditional festival tent; you can find seating at the catering venues.

Frankfurter Herbst-Dippemess 2027: opening hours

The official opening hours vary by day of the week. You can stay longer on Fridays and Saturdays than on Sundays or weekdays. There are two important closure days: Monday, 13 September, and Monday, 20 September 2027. The fairground is closed on these days. The MEC schedule therefore lists only the days when it is open. Any special changes will be added following new announcements from the organiser.

Knirpse Funfair, admission and fireworks

On Tuesday, 14 September, and Tuesday, 21 September, the Knirpse Funfair runs from 15 to 20. Children up to the age of twelve benefit from special offers, and the organiser has also announced face painting for children. Admission to the open fairground is free under the current rules; rides and food cost extra. No fireworks have been announced: they are currently not possible at the fairground because of the newly built swimming pool.

Getting there and other visitor information

You can reach the Eissporthalle/Festplatz stop, right next to the site, on the U7, tram 12 and bus routes 38 and 103. As there is no regular visitor parking, public transport is particularly advisable. Pets are not permitted, with an exception for assistance dogs. Bag checks may also take place.
