Salzbergen – Salzbergener Autumn Funfair 2027

Salzbergener Herbstkirmes 2027 is scheduled, according to the usual event pattern, from Saturday, 9 October, to Monday, 11 October 2027. The municipality traditionally organises the fair on the second weekend of October. An official announcement for 2027 is still pending. Around Bahnhofstraße and other streets in the town centre, you can expect a funfair with rides and food stalls.

Salzbergener Autumn Funfair 2027 in the town centre

Every year, the autumn funfair turns Salzbergen town centre into a lively fairground. Various rides are spread around Bahnhofstraße. Poststraße and the surrounding areas also play a part in the funfair. Traditionally, the municipality offers a three-day programme from Saturday to Monday. The expected dates are therefore 9 to 11 October 2027. The district lists the 2026 edition as running partly until Tuesday, but explicitly describes three regular funfair days.

Rides and funfair highlights

For the 2026 edition, the municipality and local press reported numerous rides. These included Hangover, Break Dance and the upside-down ride Intoxx. The so-called Hip Hop Dancer, bumper cars and a Musik-Express were also mentioned. Children could enjoy several small rides. These names specifically describe the 2026 edition. No line-up of rides has yet been confirmed for 2027. Therefore, none of these rides are currently listed as participants.

Salzbergener Herbstkirmes 2027: opening hours

The daily opening hours for 2027 have not yet been confirmed. Last year, the funfair opened on Saturday afternoon and earlier on Sunday and Monday. However, the official notices did not publish complete closing times for every day. The MEC daily timetable will therefore remain hidden for now. Opening hours have not yet been fully published. This avoids showing an opening time that is too early or made-up closing times.

Opening with ceremonial keg tapping and prize draw

Special events at 2026 included the official opening by the mayor. Traditionally, this included a ceremonial keg tapping in the Bürgersaal. Ride ticket bundles with free rides were then raffled. Families could take part through kindergartens and primary schools. It has not been separately announced whether the funfair 2027 will open with these activities again. Therefore, no specific times are listed for them in the programme.

Sunday shopping and family day

For the 2026 edition, the municipality announced that shops would open on Sunday. Monday was also family day, with lower prices at participating rides and stalls. This tradition makes the fair particularly appealing to families. However, the arrangements and conditions can vary each year. So before 10 and 11 October 2027, check the latest approval for Sunday trading and the showmen's offers.

Getting there, admission and road closures

The funfair area is centrally located in Salzbergen, near Bahnhofstraße 3 and the Bürgersaal. In 2026, the municipality temporarily introduced no-stopping and no-through-traffic restrictions on several streets. Some parking spaces were also closed for rides. Bus routes also had to use temporary stops. So it is a good idea to check the municipality's traffic updates before your visit. Based on past practice, the public funfair area is free to enter; rides and food incur separate charges.
