Nordwalde Autumn Funfair 2027 takes place under the municipality's official market regulations from Saturday, 2 October, to Monday, 4 October 2027. The regular dates run from the Saturday before the first Sunday in October until the following Monday. The municipality has not yet published any special exception for 2027. Rides and a family-friendly atmosphere await you on the forecourt of the Bürgerzentrum, Amillyplatz and the surrounding streets.

Nordwalde Autumn Funfair 2027 in the town centre

The autumn funfair is one of Nordwalde's best-known fairs. It spreads across several squares and streets around the Bürgerzentrum. The regulations list the forecourt of the town hall, Amillyplatz and Kirchstraße. Other areas are along Hoppenstiege, Amtmann-Daniel-Straße and the local history museum. Together, they form one continuous funfair area. The central Bürgerzentrum is a good meeting point for a walk around the different funfair areas.

Rides, children's carousels and Musikexpress

The official event announcement for 2026 describes numerous rides, food vans and stalls. The Musik-Express at the Bürgerzentrum was especially popular at the time. Gingerbread hearts were also traditionally handed out to children at the opening. The participating showmen and rides for 2027 have not yet been announced. For this reason, no attractions from last year's list are shown as the current line-up of rides. The list can be updated as soon as the municipality publishes new information.

Nordwalde Autumn Funfair 2027: Opening Times

For 2026, the municipality announced these main opening times: Saturday 15–24 and Sunday 11–24. On Monday, opening times were 13–21. These three days' times are listed provisionally for 2027. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. The general market regulations allow longer opening times on Mondays. However, the organiser's schedule 2026 was shorter. The more recent daily schedule therefore applies for now, until the municipality explicitly confirms the times for October 2027.

Funfair Monday and family activities

Monday is traditionally of particular interest to families. In 2026, the final day of the funfair was announced as a family day, with discounted ride tokens. The mayor also took part in the official opening on Saturday, when gingerbread hearts were handed out. It is not yet clear whether these activities will take place again in the same way on Saturday, 2 October, and Monday, 4 October 2027. Therefore, last year's activities with set times have not been carried over to this year's event.

Date rules and possible Friday opening

The exact date rules are important when planning your visit: the main market starts on the Saturday before the first Sunday in October and ends on Monday. The market regulations provide for an extension if 3 October falls on a Friday or Tuesday. In 2027, however, German Unity Day falls on a Sunday. The scheduled funfair 2027 therefore ends on Monday. 2026 there was also a funfair evening on Friday. The municipality has yet to announce whether this will happen again on Friday, 1 October 2027.

Admission and food

Based on past practice, the public fairground is free to enter. You can move between rides, confectionery stalls and food stands. However, rides, drinks and food usually cost extra. Special family day prices also apply only if the participating showmen announce them for the current event. The market is therefore ideal for a spontaneous funfair visit, without you needing to buy an admission ticket in advance.

Getting there and location of the fairground

Use Amtmann-Daniel-Straße, 48356 Nordwalde, near the Bürgerzentrum, as a reference point. The funfair also stretches across Amillyplatz and other streets. Roads and car parks around the fairground may be closed. So you should check for possible closures and parking options shortly before your visit. This is especially important on Sunday, when visitors from the surrounding area also come to the autumn funfair.
