Lingener Autumn Funfair 2027 is tentatively planned for 1 to 4 October 2027, following the most recently officially observed Friday-to-Monday schedule. The city of Lingen has not yet announced a separate date for 2027. The funfair takes place at the fairground beside the EmslandArena. Rides, children's carousels and traditional funfair stalls make for a varied weekend.

Lingener Autumn Funfair 2027 at the EmslandArena

The autumn funfair is not held in the historic market square, but at the fairground beside the EmslandArena on Lindenstraße. There is plenty of space there for showmen of various sizes. The city also holds a spring funfair at the same location. The site is a popular autumn destination for visitors from the Emsland and Grafschaft Bentheim. The halls and other well-known event venues also serve as useful landmarks when travelling there.

Rides, carousels and game stalls

For example, the officially announced 2026 edition featured a bungee trampoline, the compressed-air ride Super Ufo-Jet 2000 and various children's rides. There was also a multi-storey funhouse with obstacles and moving elements inviting visitors to take part. Traditional prize, shooting and food stalls are also part of the funfair. However, this information describes only the 2026 edition. The showmen taking part in October 2027 have not yet been officially announced. Therefore, no rides from previous years are listed as part of the current line-up.

Lingener Autumn Funfair 2027: provisional opening times

The Emslandhallen venue published daily opening times for 2026: Friday and Saturday from 14 to 23, and Sunday and Monday from 14 to 22. These officially announced times have initially been added to the events calendar as provisional for 2027. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. This gives you a general idea of when to visit the funfair, but you should check the exact times again. A final date from the organisers for 2027, and any changes, are still pending.

Family day, fireworks and official opening

At the 2026 edition, the autumn funfair was officially opened on Friday afternoon. That first day was family day, with reduced ride prices. There was also a traditional high-altitude fireworks display at dusk. These are part of Lingen's familiar programme. It has not yet been confirmed whether they will take place again on Friday, 1 October 2027. Therefore, no fixed programme dates or invented fireworks times have been entered.

Funfair treats and free entry

A visit is worth it even if you skip the rides. Following the tradition so far, you can buy sweet and savoury specialities from food stalls at the fairground. Drink and game stalls also add to the lively atmosphere. The funfair area has been free to enter in previous years. However, you pay separately at each stall for rides, games and food and drink. Showmen may offer their own special prices for certain attractions.

Getting to Lingen and latest date information

The fairground is at the EmslandArena, Lindenstraße 24a, 49808 Lingen (Ems). You can reach the site via local roads; parking areas and access roads may be busier when visitor numbers are high. We recommend checking the latest travel information before setting off. Please note the date: one funfair calendar already lists 30 September 2027 as the first day. However, the official venue confirmed a Friday-to-Monday schedule in each of the last two years. Therefore, 1 to 4 October is listed here for now, pending the city's binding decision for 2027.
