Jans to Beilen 2027: The traditional Jans to Beilen funfair is expected to take place in Beelen, in the district of Warendorf, from Saturday, 26 June to Monday, 28 June 2027. The date is based on the traditional three-day schedule around St John’s Day and the dates of the 2026 edition. So far, there has been no separate official confirmation from the municipality for 2027; the longer period from 19 to 28 June listed in a funfair calendar does not match the funfair’s usual duration.

The event centres on Villers-Écalles-Platz in Beelen town centre. The municipality and local organisations put on a small, family-friendly funfair there, with rides and stalls. The square is also just a short walk from the railway station and shops, so you can easily combine your visit with a walk around Beelen. The square is named after the French twin town. When travelling there, make sure you choose the market square in Beelen as your destination, not the French town of the same name.

Rides and market stalls

The focus is on classic carousels and fairground attractions for different age groups. Visitors can usually expect children’s rides, games stalls, sweets and savoury snacks. The individual showmen and rides confirmed for 2027 have not yet been officially announced. The line-up of rides therefore does not yet include specific ride names. Nor can a supposed new ride or a particular operator be identified based solely on photos from previous editions.

Food and drink and ideas for things to do

The funfair is a meeting place for families, friends and neighbours in the municipality. Between rides, you can explore the stalls or take a break in the food and drink area. In previous years, for example, there has been a beer garden. Opening events, an evening flea market and a communal breakfast have also been part of the familiar Beelen funfair programme. It is not yet known whether these activities will take place again in 2027 or which organisers will be responsible for them.

If you are driving, look out for road closures and parking signs around the market square. Parking may also be unavailable directly at the fairground while the funfair is taking place.
