What to expect

Vatertagskirmes Kamp-Lintfort 2027: The centre of Kamp-Lintfort is expected to become a funfair site again from Thursday, 6 May to Monday, 10 May 2027. Vatertagskirmes traditionally begins on Ascension Day and ends the following Monday. One calendar gives different dates, from 17 to 21 June 2027; however, these conflict with the public holiday and all documented patterns from previous years. Final official confirmation for 2027 is still pending.

Vatertagskirmes Kamp-Lintfort 2027: fairground and atmosphere

The funfair spreads across Prinzenplatz and neighbouring sections of Moerser Straße in Kamp-Lintfort. The public square becomes a stage for large rides, children’s carousels and food stalls. The area is also one of the city’s main meeting places. The short distances between rides and stalls make it easy for families and groups to enjoy several attractions. It is traditionally busy, especially on Ascension Day itself.

Rides, children's attractions and new additions

For 2026, local media reported 55 showmen’s businesses, citing the city. Attractions at the time included family rides, a bungee trampoline, a children’s roller coaster and bumper cars. This selection applies only to the previous year. A new line-up of rides specifically for 2027 has not yet been published. The selection of rides and traders may therefore differ from previous editions.

Food and drink, game stalls and family activities

Alongside fast rides, visitors can usually expect a colourful selection of game stalls, drinks stands and funfair food. From sweet classics to savoury snacks, there is something to suit different tastes. While some visitors are mainly looking for the thrill of the rides, others come to meet friends or enjoy a leisurely stroll. The many stalls in the town centre add to the special Father's Day atmosphere.

Vatertagskirmes Kamp-Lintfort 2027: dates and opening times

The provisional date of 6 to 10 May 2027 has been calculated from the annual event schedule around Ascension Day. The town has not yet issued a separate confirmation of the fair. For now, the differing daily times provided by the town for 2026 have been provisionally added to the opening times schedule. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. Any later official confirmation will take precedence.

Tradition and special programme

The official programme 2026 included a ceremonial keg tapping with music, a ride-token promotion for the opening, fireworks on Friday and activities for children on Sunday. Visitors could also enjoy discounted rides on what is known as Blue Monday. These highlights are typical features of Vatertagskirmes, but have not yet been confirmed for 2027. The programme therefore does not include any supposedly confirmed fireworks times or discounts for now.
