Düsseldorf – Rheinkirmes 2027

The Rheinkirmes 2027 takes place from 16 to 25 July on the Oberkasseler Rheinwiesen in Düsseldorf. For ten days, you can enjoy a large fair right beside the Rhine, with rides, food and drink, and the traditional marksmen's and local heritage festival. The date has been confirmed by the organiser and has also been published by Düsseldorf Tourismus.

Rheinkirmes 2027: fairground and size

A sprawling funfair covering around 165.000 square metres is set up opposite Düsseldorf's Old Town. The view across the Rhine is just as much part of the experience as the illuminated rides. Its location on the Oberkasseler Rheinwiesen makes the fair a special destination for a day out. You can also reach the city centre via the Rhine bridges.

Rides for families and thrill-seekers

Rheinkirmes 2027 is set to offer a wide range of showmen from Germany and abroad again. Alongside classic funfair attractions, modern rides and family-friendly options have been announced. Which specific rides will actually be there will only be confirmed when the line-up of rides for 2027 is published. We therefore deliberately do not list any rides from the previous year as confirmed participants.

Marksmen's festival and tradition on the Rhine

The event is organised by St. Sebastianus Schützenverein Düsseldorf 1316. The marksmen's and local heritage festival is closely linked to the feast day of the city's patron saint, St. Apollinaris, on 23 July. According to Düsseldorf Tourismus, more than 1.500 marksmen are involved in the club. This means you can experience not only a large funfair, but also a piece of Düsseldorf's local heritage.

Rheinkirmes 2027: fireworks and drone shows

A special highlight is the fireworks display announced for Friday, 23 July 2027, at around 22:30. Düsseldorf Tourismus also lists drone shows on Tuesday, 20 July, and Friday, 23 July, both at around 22:15. You can watch them from the fairground, the opposite bank of the Rhine and the bridges, among other places. You can find all the specific dates together in this event's programme.

Admission, opening times and food and drink

Entry to the festival site is free. Rides, food and drink cost extra. You can discover a range of food and drink options among the carousels and game stalls. The daily opening times for 2027 will be published separately; the current overview is based on the times for the 2026 edition.

Getting to Rheinkirmes Düsseldorf
