What it’s like to ride Air Maxx Dotremont

You sit in a small floorless gondola at the end of a long arm. Several arms revolve around a central axis. Once the ride starts, hydraulic cylinders jerk the arms up and down. This makes you leap through the air as the ride spins faster and faster. The gondolas can also spin freely, so your view is constantly changing.

The combination of spinning, jumping and dangling legs makes the ride much more intense than classic Jump rides. From the outside, you can see this in the patterns the arms draw in the air.

History of Air Maxx Dotremont

Smashing Jump rides are part of a newer generation of Jump rides. Manufacturers such as BN Performance Rides and Fabbri developed them as a more powerful, floorless version of the classic ride. Air Maxx has appeared in Belgian funfair listings for several years. The ride’s year of manufacture and previous owners have not yet been publicly documented.

Who is this ride suitable for?

Air Maxx is a thrill ride for teenagers and adults, but it is not intended for children. The minimum height is displayed at the entrance. If you have back problems, it is best to avoid the ride because of its powerful jumps. You must safely stow loose items before riding, and your shoes should fit securely too.
