Olen – Annual fair 2026

Jaarmarktkermis Olen 2026 takes place in Olen-Centrum from Sunday, 15 November to Tuesday, 17 November 2026. The traditional Olen-Jaarmarkt marks the opening on Sunday. It is important to distinguish between the two for your visit: the market stalls open in the morning, while the municipality gives an afternoon and evening time slot for the funfair stalls.

Jaarmarktkermis Olen 2026: Three days in the village centre

The event is centred on Dorpsplein in the heart of Olen. The municipal administration lists the November funfair specifically for 15, 16 and 17 November in its funfair calendar. It gives general opening hours for the funfair stalls as 15 to 23. This gives you an official guide for your visit; however, individual ride times or a complete line-up of rides for 2026 have not yet been published. We therefore do not list ride names or promise any additional opening hours.

The atmosphere changes noticeably on Sunday: the large Olen Jaarmarkt takes place alongside the funfair. As you walk around the square, you’ll find a mix of market traditions, local associations and a festival programme. However, market stalls and funfair operations do not necessarily have identical opening hours.

Jaarmarktkermis Olen 2026 and the traditional Oeëlemet

In the town, the Olen Jaarmarkt is also known as “Oeëlemet”. It has been part of community life for more than 200 years and will be celebrated for the 224th time in 2026. The market itself starts at 7 on Sunday and ends at 14. Families may particularly enjoy the dedicated children’s market, where young sellers can offer their toys or handmade items. The municipality requires registration by 6 November; participants should be at the square in front of the Pastorij before 8:15.

There is also an awards ceremony for the children’s market participants at 11. Anyone who would rather watch can enjoy traditional guild dances, dance groups and music in the Spiegeltent on the same day. These are part of the separate market and tent programme and are not listed as rides.

Music, associations and the Spiegeltent

For Sunday, the municipality has announced, among other things, guild dances in the Spiegeltent at 11, the Dansmariekes at 12 and Rock ‘n Roll Extreme at 12:30. A dance afternoon with DJ Marc Van Rooy follows from 14; the traditional “Boemeke” is scheduled for 16. According to the municipal schedule, the evening programme runs until 20. Part of the tent programme is organised separately; when you visit, check the signs for the relevant event area.

How to plan your visit

If you want to experience the market, come on Sunday morning. The funfair stalls listed by the municipality, however, are scheduled for the afternoon. The village centre around Dorpsplein is the main point of reference. Specific road closures, parking options and ride prices have not been reliably provided for this edition. Plan your journey without assuming there will be special parking, and check the latest municipal notices shortly before you travel.
