360° View Akkerman: the ride experience
The 360° View Akkerman is a modern, transportable Ferris wheel from the Dutch Akkerman Group. The focus is on the view from above: as the wheel turns slowly, the perspective of the fairground and its surroundings changes. The combination of lighting and views can be particularly appealing on an evening funfair ride. The attraction is not a high-speed ride and has no loops. Instead, it is aimed at visitors who want to enjoy a gentle ride at height. At a height of 40 metres, according to the operator, the wheel is one of the larger mobile observation rides. The landscape you can actually see naturally depends on the location. So the same attraction can make a very different impression at a town fair than at an open exhibition ground.

Features and technology of the 360° View
According to the operator's official website, the Ferris wheel has 24 gondolas, each with six seats. This gives it 144 seats when every gondola is full, not 144 people per hour. Hourly capacity cannot be calculated reliably without information on ride duration and passenger boarding and alighting times. The footprint is listed as 21 by 17 metres, including the ticket office. Programmable RGB LEDs and a round LED screen with a diameter of three metres in the centre of the wheel provide the visual effects. The operator describes the ride as fully electric. The technical overview reviewed does not specify an exact kilowatt figure. The ride is also designed for mobile use; exact set-up and dismantling times are not provided.
History of the Ferris wheel
According to the Akkerman Group, the 360° View was built in the Netherlands in 2022. Ride-Index lists Lamberink as the manufacturer and the attraction as a Giant Event Wheel. The specialist source gives its height as approximately 39,5 metres, while the operator rounds it to 40 metres on its website. This is not necessarily a contradiction, but rather a common way of rounding a measurement. The technical overview also mentions German and Dutch TÜV approvals. The Ferris wheel is listed as a separate attraction so that it is not confused with other wheels from the Akkerman Group or similarly named observation rides. A simple ‘Ferris wheel – Akkerman’ entry in a line-up of rides is therefore not enough to reliably identify this specific ride.

Who is the 360° View Akkerman suitable for?
If you’re looking for an overview of a fair or want to enjoy a gentler attraction after several fast rides, the Ferris wheel may be a good choice. We make no general claims here about whether individual gondolas are enclosed or open; the current setup on site is what matters. The safety rules displayed at the venue also apply to children, accompanying adults and guests with limited mobility. Prices and ride duration may vary depending on the event. Operation may be adjusted in windy or other weather conditions. So check the current location before you travel. You can find more Ferris wheels in our attraction overview. The technical details are from the official operator website and Ride-Index.
