Twister – Deinert
Twister Deinert – funfair classic
Operator: Heinz Deinert (Dortmund)
Twister Deinert – Twister Deinert is a traditional travelling roundabout ride with a flying motion characteristic of its design. The ride owned by Heinz Deinert from Dortmund was built by the Dutch manufacturer De Boer. It belongs to the Airborne type and is clearly different from modern overhead pendulum rides. If you like classic funfair rides, you can enjoy a ride here where the mechanics themselves are part of the appeal.

Practical information
You can find more suitable rides in the overview. The details in this profile apply only to the clearly identified ride. Videos and archive images may show older names and previous operators. Prices, ride programmes and current riding conditions are determined on site. Where reliable technical details are unavailable, we do not make estimates. You should therefore check the notices and staff instructions before your ride. Announced appearances may also change at short notice.
What it’s like to ride Twister Deinert
During the ride, the rotating mechanism moves the seats outwards and upwards. The motion creates a feeling of gentle floating, without you being in a large free-fall tower. Ride-Index gives a flying height of twelve metres. The speed and length of each ride programme have not been generally documented. So you should watch the ride briefly before getting on and judge the intensity for yourself.

The ride was built as early as 1965, giving it a long history at travelling fairs. Berghaus from Bünde is documented as a previous operator until 2018. Heinz Deinert now operates the ride. Ride-Index gives a frontage width of sixteen and a half metres, a depth of seventeen and a half metres, and a connected load of sixty kilowatts. Older photos may show the ride under a previous operator; they are not necessarily photos of a different Twister.

Who is the ride suitable for?
For visitors who appreciate classic roundabout rides, Twister is an interesting change from newer thrill rides. If you are visiting with children, check the current admission rules and the required adult supervision at the entrance. The operator may have special requirements in windy weather. If you are sensitive to spinning, avoid planning several similar rides one after another. The ride is also easy to watch from outside.
