Oostende – Krokusfoor 2027

The Krokusfoor Oostende 2027 is tentatively scheduled to take place on Wapenplein from Friday, 12 February to Sunday, 21 February 2027. The dates are listed in a funfair calendar, but have not yet been confirmed in a separate announcement by the city. The small spring funfair turns the central square in Oostende into a meeting place for funfair visitors. General admission is usually free; rides and refreshments are paid for separately.

Krokusfoor Oostende 2027 on Wapenplein

The city of Oostende explicitly lists the Krokuskermis as one of the regular funfairs on Wapenplein. The square is right in the city centre, just a few minutes’ walk from the shopping streets and the sea. This makes it easy to combine a short visit to the fair with a trip to the Belgian coast. In February 2026, the Krokusfoor also took place on Wapenplein. However, the city sets the exact dates separately each year. The stated date range for 2027 therefore remains provisional.

Family rides and funfair treats

At the 2026 edition, various rides, games and food stalls were set up in the square. Local news coverage showed, among other things, a children’s ride and traditional game stalls. Family attractions are also expected at the next edition. However, the specific line-up of rides for 2027 has not yet been published. We therefore do not list any individual rides as confirmed. As at smaller Belgian funfairs, pastries, sweets and a relaxed stroll around the funfair are also part of the appeal.

Full daily opening times for the next edition have not yet been published. The municipality has also not yet provided a confirmed timetable for February 2027. Daily operation was reported for Krokusfoor 2026, but this does not confirm the times for 2027. Please check the latest information before travelling.

Admission and winter holidays on the coast

Wapenplein is a public town square. A general admission ticket is not usually required for the funfair there. However, separate prices apply for rides, game stalls, drinks and food. The reported dates also fall around the Flemish spring half-term holiday. Local shops and cafés make a visit appealing even in changeable weather. The market is nevertheless a separate funfair event and should not be confused with the city’s carnival programme in March.

Getting to Oostende and the funfair site

Wapenplein is in central 8400 Oostende. You can walk from the station to the city centre. Bus and tram services also run nearby. For drivers, the city-centre car parks are an alternative, as there is little parking right on the square. The City of Oostende confirms the traditional location of the Krokuskermis.
