Balen – Carnavalfoor 2027

The Carnavalfoor Balen 2027 is expected to take place at the market in Balen from Saturday, 30 January to Monday, 1 February 2027. The period is listed in a funfair calendar for 2027, but has not yet been specifically confirmed by the municipality. This small carnival attraction combines a winter funfair with the colourful carnival celebrations in the centre. There is usually no admission charge to stroll around the public square; individual rides, games and food cost extra.

Carnavalfoor Balen 2027 at the market

The market square in the heart of Balen becomes a meeting place for families and carnival fans during Carnavalfoor. Unlike the larger Jaarmarktkermis in March, this is a small winter funfair in its own right. A visit to the market can also be combined with a stroll through the town centre. There are usually a few carousels and game stalls here. The exact number and names of the showmen taking part in 2027 have not yet been confirmed.

Children's rides, a winter funfair and carnival

Carnavalfoor is aimed at visitors who enjoy a small-scale funfair atmosphere. Children can look forward to age-appropriate rides, provided the relevant operators confirm their participation for the year in question. Sweets and typical funfair treats are also part of the scene at events like this. Carnival activities are an additional attraction in Balen. However, the specific carnival programme for 2027 should not automatically be assumed to coincide with the funfair. We therefore do not list any floats or rides from previous years as confirmed attractions.

Carnavalfoor Balen 2027: opening times

The municipality of Balen lists different daily opening times for Carnavalfoor 2026: Saturday and Monday from 14, and Sunday from 12. However, full official closing times for the 2027 edition are not yet available. We therefore deliberately do not show an artificial timetable in the events calendar. The new date also still needs official confirmation. Check the municipality's announcements before setting off, especially if you are only planning to visit for a particular children's ride.

Free admission and funfair tokens

The public market is normally accessible without a general admission ticket. Operators charge separately for carousel rides, lottery stalls, games and refreshments. The municipality also offers a token system for its funfairs through UiTPAS. You should check before buying whether the current terms and participating stalls for 2027 remain unchanged. This will help you plan a family visit without assuming that previous discounts are guaranteed again.

Getting there and other dates in Balen

The funfair site is at the market in 2490 Balen. There are bus stops and other public routes nearby. Parking spaces directly by the market may be unavailable during set-up. It is therefore worth checking the latest information about parking and bus stops. The Municipality of Balen publishes an overview of its funfairs; you can also find details about the token system there. Our funfair calendar lists other small winter funfairs.
