Oldenburg – Oldenburg Market Stalls 2027
What to expect
The Oldenburger Kramermarkt 2027 officially runs from Friday, 1 October, to Sunday, 10 October 2027. The city of Oldenburg confirms the 420 edition of this traditional fair. The open-air site at the Weser-Ems-Hallen offers ten days of rides, stalls and food. Admission to the fairground is free. The Oldenburg tourism organisation has already published the exact daily opening times.
Oldenburger Kramermarkt 2027 at Weser-Ems-Hallen
Kramermarkt is also considered one of the most important fairs in north-west Germany. The event site is right next to Weser-Ems-Hallen, near the railway station. According to the organisers, around 250 stalls and rides are typically part of the line-up. You can stroll along wide market lanes, discover traditional attractions and try modern rides. However, the individual line-up of rides for the 420 edition still needs to be checked against current operator information. The approximate figure should therefore not be treated as a list of confirmed businesses.
Carousels, tradition and treats
The market's documented history dates back to 1608. Originally, it was mainly a place for merchants and farmers to trade. Show attractions and carousels were added later; the fair has been at its current location since 1963. Alongside fast rides for thrill-seekers, you can also find gentler family attractions. Food stalls serving savoury specialities and sweets are also part of the market. A final list of new attractions for 2027 is not yet available, so rides from previous years are not presented as confirmed.
Oldenburger Kramermarkt 2027: Opening times
The official visitor times have already been confirmed: on Fridays and Saturdays, the market closes at 1 am, and on most other days at 23 am. On the closing Sunday, it stays open until 23:30 am. The first opening begins at 14 on Friday; on Saturday, the market is open from the start of the event. The detailed schedule shows the specific day groups, including exceptions. Please note that individual stalls may have different opening times from the general market schedule.
Parade and lantern procession 2027
Two special events have also been officially announced. On Saturday, 2 October, the large Kramermarkt parade sets off at around 14 from Oldenburg city centre towards the fairground. On Friday, 8 October, the lantern procession starts at 19:15 at the Old Town Hall. It is expected to reach Kramermarkt at around 20; a children's fireworks display called Kranichs Feuerzauber is planned there. Further fireworks and performances for 2027 have not yet been fully confirmed with specific dates and are therefore not listed as scheduled events.
Admission and getting to the fair
Admission to the public Kramermarkt is free. You pay the operators directly for rides, games, food and drinks. Oldenburg railway station and the central bus station are nearby, making it easy to travel by train and bus. Additional bus services run during the fair; you should check their timetables in good time. You can find all the information on the city’s official Kramermarkt page.
