Regensburg – Regensburg Maidult 2027
What to expect
The Regensburger Maidult 2027 is expected to be held from 14 to 30 May 2027 at Dultplatz am Protzenweiher. The dates have already been announced for this edition, although the city has yet to publish an official notice. The organisers are already talking about the next Maidult 2027. The fair features a large amusement area, traditional market stalls, festival tents and a wide range of food and drink. Regensburg combines the atmosphere of a Bavarian fair with a traditional funfair.
Regensburger Maidult 2027: spring fair in Stadtamhof
The Dultplatz is in the Stadtamhof district, north of the Danube and close to the historic city centre. The site is easily reached from the Stone Bridge. The Dult tradition goes back several centuries: Stadtamhof was granted market rights as early as 1389, and the current site has been used since 1972. There are also two separate Dult events every year. The Maidult takes place in May, while the Herbstdult begins in late August.
Rides, festival tents and market stalls
Regensburger Dult traditionally features carousels, larger rides, activities for children and game stalls. There are also market stalls with traders, a beer village, festival tents and fish grills. You can enjoy Bavarian dishes and other specialities there. The individual rides due to appear in May 2027 have not yet been confirmed in a current line-up. For this reason, previous appearances are not listed or assigned as confirmed participants without verification.
Regensburger Maidult 2027: opening times and admission
Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. The published general Dult rules distinguish between the funfair area and the market stalls, which open in the morning. The weekly schedule is therefore recorded by area in the MEC timetable; specific exceptions for May 2027 still need to be added. Admission to the public Dult site has previously been free. Rides, food, drinks and shopping cost extra. Reservation conditions may apply to individual tables or offers in festival tents.
Programme, family days and fireworks
Highlights of previous Maidult events have included a ceremonial keg tapping, children's and family days, fireworks and offers for older visitors. However, the programme is decided afresh each year. We therefore do not include previous fireworks times or special events in the calendar for 2027 without verification. This also applies to specific performances in festival tents and music groups. These details will be added as separate programme items once the organiser publishes the current overview.
Getting there and further visitor information
You can easily walk to Maidult from Regensburg’s old town, cycle or use local public transport. In previous years, a free Dult bus also ran from Hauptbahnhof Süd via key stops to the Dult grounds. The special timetable for 2027 still needs to be confirmed. So check the official Dult website shortly before your visit. You can find more fairs in Bavaria in our funfair calendar.
