What to expect
The Augsburger Herbstplärrer 2027 takes place from Friday, 27 August to Sunday, 12 September 2027. The city of Augsburg has officially announced the 17 days. At the Plärrer fairground, you can enjoy one of the largest fairs in Bavarian Swabia, with rides, festival tents, games and food and drink. The Herbstplärrer is the second separate edition of the Augsburger Plärrer each year, alongside the Osterplärrer in spring.
Augsburger Herbstplärrer 2027: 17 days at the fairground
Kleiner Exerzierplatz is the traditional site of the Augsburger Plärrer. The city describes a mix of modern ride technology, nostalgic showman attractions and Bavarian festival culture. You can enjoy a relaxed afternoon here with children or stroll among colourful rides and festival tents in the evening. The long run gives you several options for choosing a suitable day to visit.
Rides, beer tents and food and drink
The usual line-up includes large rides, family carousels, games stalls and food and drink outlets. Festival tents are also an important part of the fair. However, there is not yet a final, up-to-date list of showmen confirming which attractions will take part in August and September 2027. We therefore do not assume that any particular rides or the site layout from the Osterplärrer will be repeated. Historical pictures also show past editions only, not the line-up for 2027.
Augsburger Herbstplärrer 2027: Opening times
The organiser publishes a regular weekly schedule for the fairground, with longer opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays. For now, these times and the special opening-day arrangements for the 2026 edition are for guidance only. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. The final opening time for 2027 and any special changes still need to be confirmed. You should therefore check the latest schedule again before travelling late. The festival tents may also have their own opening hours.
Family days, fireworks and other highlights
Past highlights have included a large parade, children's and family days, and evening fireworks. There is no confirmation yet that these events will take place on the same days or at the same times in 2027. We have therefore not included a fictional fireworks display or family day in the structured programme. Once the city publishes its current autumn programme, individual events can be added with specific dates and times.
Admission, getting there and tips for your visit
Under the event rules used to date, the public Plärrer fairground is free to enter. You pay separately for rides, games, food and drink. Given its location near the city centre, it is worth travelling by public transport; parking can be limited, especially at weekends. The entrances include Langenmantelstraße and Badstraße.
