Biberach an der Riß – Biberacher Schützenfest 2027
What to expect
The Biberacher Schützenfest 2027 takes place from Friday, 16 July, to Sunday, 25 July 2027. The Schützendirektion Foundation and the City of Biberach have already published the dates. This children's and local heritage festival combines traditional processions and the Schützentheater with a funfair on the Gigelberg. An important point when planning your visit is that admission arrangements differ between publicly accessible areas and individual festival events.
Biberacher Schützenfest 2027: tradition and funfair
In Biberach, the Schützenfest is not the usual club shooting competition, but a long-established children's and local heritage festival. Over the ten days, historically themed processions, music, dancing, theatre and a funfair are all part of the varied programme. The town centre takes on a festive atmosphere, while rides and food and drink stalls draw visitors to the Gigelberg. You can choose between a traditional town festival visit and a classic funfair afternoon.
Funfair on the Gigelberg
The funfair on the Gigelberg usually features large and small rides, children's carousels, games and numerous food stalls. The operators and rides that will actually be there for 2027 have not yet been fully confirmed. Therefore, the existing list from 2026 is not being presented as the current line-up of rides. Daily opening times are initially based on the officially published schedule from the previous year. Opening times are provisional, as of 2026.
Biberacher Schützenfest 2027: programme
The Schützendirektion has already announced the fairy tale “Puss in Boots” for the Schützentheater 2027. A detailed performance schedule will follow later. The participating Scharwächter will also lead historical processions on 20 and 25 July for 2027. The specific dates are included in the structured programme, but estimated start times have deliberately been omitted. Events and performers from previous years have not been carried over into the new festival programme without verification.
Admission, festival badges and tickets
The funfair on the Gigelberg is free to enter. Rides and refreshments cost extra. Tickets are required for the Schützentheater, various events and grandstand seats. Adults also need a festival badge for some historical processions, dances and other events; young people up to and including 18 years old are exempt from the badge requirement. We therefore mark the Schützenfest as partly chargeable, without inventing a general site entry fee.
Getting there and further information
The Gigelberg fairground can be reached via Jahnstraße. Streets in Biberach town centre may be closed temporarily because of the processions. Plan to arrive in good time and check the official information about parking and public transport. The Schützendirektion website provides date and ticket information. Find more fairs and marksmen's festivals in the funfair calendar.
