Freiburg – Freiburger Autumn Fair 2027

The Freiburger Herbstmess 2027 takes place from Friday, 15 October to Monday, 25 October 2027 at Neuer Messplatz in Freiburg. The organiser FWTM has already officially announced these eleven days for the autumn edition. You can look forward to strolling among rides, game stalls, children's activities and food and drink outlets. However, the exact programme and line-up of rides for the new edition have yet to be announced.

Freiburger Herbstmess 2027: eleven days of fun

Freiburger Mess’ takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn. It has been part of the city’s event history since 1927. It is held at Neuer Messplatz in the north of Freiburg, right next to the exhibition centre. Visitors can explore the various fairground attractions with family or friends, or on their own. The illuminated carousels and autumn atmosphere also make for a special experience, especially in the evening.

Rides and activities for the whole family

The organisers describe Mess’ as a mix of larger rides, attractions for children and food and drink outlets. It usually features more than a hundred showmen. The specific physical rides that will be set up in October 2027 have not yet been officially announced. Therefore, no list of the Herbstmess 2026 is being presented as the new line-up of rides. The archive photo of a former ride is also expressly not evidence that it will be there next year.

Freiburger Herbstmess 2027: opening times and admission

Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. The daily schedule has been adapted from the official autumn overview 2026 to match the days of the week in October 2027. Sundays start earlier than most weekdays, while the event runs later on certain Fridays and Saturdays. The specific time slots are shown in the MEC opening times schedule. Admission to the fairground is free. Rides, games and food and drink are charged separately.

Family day, activities and fireworks

In autumn 2026, there was, among other things, a children’s and family day, special offers at game and snack stalls, and a closing fireworks display. These past highlights give you an idea of the character of the Herbstmess. Whether they will take place on the same days of the week in 2027 has not yet been specifically confirmed. Getting to Freiburger Mess’

The Neue Messplatz is easy to reach by public transport. Stadtbahn line 4 goes to the exhibition centre; bus services are also available. If you are coming by car, be sure to check the parking charges and any special rates. It is especially worth checking the latest traffic conditions on the closing weekend.
