Wesel – PPP Days 2027
What to expect
PPP-Tage Wesel 2027: Wesel is expected to celebrate PPP-Tage again from Friday, 6 August, to Sunday, 8 August 2027. The name stands for drums, junk and promenade. The multi-day city festival combines a funfair on the Rhine promenade, music in the city centre and a varied programme of club events. The band The Coro already lists a performance on 6 August 2027 in its own concert calendar. However, WeselMarketing has not yet officially confirmed the dates and programme for 2027.
PPP-Tage Wesel 2027: festival site and location
The funfair is on the Rhine promenade, right by the river in the Fischertorstraße and Rheinbad area. Other events take place separately in Wesel town centre. The Kornmarkt traditionally hosts live music, while Marksmen's Day takes place around the citadel. You can therefore combine a walk along the Rhine with a stroll around the town. Allow plenty of time, as the different programme areas are not all in one place.
Rides and showmen
For the 2026 event, local media reported more than 60 stalls and attractions at the funfair. At the time, these included Break Dancer, Twister, Rocket and other rides. This selection describes only 2026 and is explicitly not a confirmed line-up of rides for 2027. The organiser will publish which rides are actually coming later. Children's rides and traditional fairground games usually add to the offer on the promenade.
Food and entertainment
PPP-Tage combines funfair excitement with a lively town atmosphere. You will traditionally find food stalls and drinks between the carousels. Music stages in the town centre provide extra variety. In previous years, various bands have performed at Kornmarkt. You can also include the restaurants and cafés in the town centre in your visit. The stalls and music acts performing in 2027 have not yet been fully confirmed.
PPP-Tage Wesel 2027: dates and opening times
The planned dates are from Friday, 6 August to Sunday, 8 August 2027. PPP-Tage traditionally takes place over a weekend in August. However, the exact official opening times for the funfair in 2027 are not yet known. The earlier official announcement also provides only some start times, not complete closing times for every day. For this reason, daily opening times are not shown in the funfair calendar.
Tradition and special highlights
Key events include Wesel Marksmen's Day, the club festival in the town centre and the large flea market. In previous years, the flea market was especially popular with visitors on Sunday. Music at Kornmarkt and other activities along the Rhine were also part of the programme. The band The Coro has already listed PPP-Tage Wesel in its live calendar for Friday, 6 August 2027. However, this information about one performer is not a complete official town festival programme, so no stage times are made up for the programme section.
Admission and getting there
The navigation destination for the funfair is Rheinpromenade, 46487 Wesel. Other festival areas include the citadel and the town centre. In previous years, Rheinpromenade and Fischertorstraße were temporarily closed to cars, and bus routes were also diverted. So check the latest traffic information shortly before your visit. From Wesel railway station, you can reach the town centre and promenade by local transport or on foot.
You can find more funfairs in the funfair calendar. The organiser publishes new information on its official information page.
