Sander Markt 2027: From Friday, 9 July to Monday, 12 July 2027, Sander Markt invites you to a four-day fair. The Verein reisender Schausteller Ostfriesland has already confirmed the dates in its market calendar. The municipality of Sande organises the traditional market stalls every year. However, the daily opening times and programme for 2027 have not yet been published.

Sander Markt 2027: venue and atmosphere

Sander Markt takes place in the town centre, on the market square on Am Markt. The municipality explicitly lists it as a public event in its market regulations. During the festival, areas with rides, stalls and sales stands are set up in the square. The town hall is also close by. The short distances make the funfair an easily accessible meeting place for visitors from Sande and the district of Friesland.

Rides and showmen

In its stall fee regulations, the municipality lists various types of showman businesses. These include children's carousels, round rides, lottery stalls and food stalls. However, this is only a regulation for possible market participants, not a confirmed line-up of rides for 2027. In 2026, according to Radio Jade, 23 showman businesses took part. It is not yet known which individual businesses will set up this time. Therefore, no names from previous years are presented as confirmed 2027.

A complete daily operating schedule for the 2027 edition has not yet been published. Therefore, no hours are currently shown as confirmed opening times.

Tradition and highlights

The market cup matches are among the well-known traditions of Sander Markt. At the 76 edition in 2026, according to Radio Jade, 13 teams took part. A closing fireworks display was also on the programme that Monday. It has not yet been separately confirmed whether these activities will return in 2027. Therefore, neither fireworks nor the market cup matches are listed as confirmed programme events with times.

Admission and directions

To get there, head to the market square on Am Markt in 26452 Sande. During the funfair, the parking spaces in the square itself are occupied. Bus stops near the town hall offer an alternative to driving. If you travel by train, you can also check connections to the town centre. The municipality publishes updates on road closures and parking.
