Nordhorn – Maimarkt 2027

Maimarkt Nordhorn 2027: From Thursday, 6 May to Monday, 10 May 2027, the Nordhorner Maikirmes invites you to five days of funfair entertainment on Neumarkt. The date is already listed in the regional tourism calendar. This means you can look forward to a lively town-centre atmosphere with rides, games and treats around Ascension Day.

Nordhorn May Market 2027 at Neumarkt

Neumarkt is right in the centre of Nordhorn and provides the setting for the annual May funfair. The City of Nordhorn and the Nordhorn Showmen’s Association organise the fair together. The market is also a regular meeting place for families and funfair enthusiasts from Grafschaft Bentheim and neighbouring areas of the Netherlands.

During the funfair, the square becomes a colourful mix of rides and stalls. In the evening, the illuminated attractions create a particular fairground atmosphere. The funfair is also an easy destination for an afternoon out, as you don’t have to look for a fairground far outside the city.

Rides and family activities

Previous editions of the Nordhorn fair have featured a range of large rides, children’s attractions and traditional fairground games. There were also sweet and savoury specialities. Families could switch between a carousel ride, a game stall and a break at a food stand. However, the showmen and rides taking part in May 2027 will only be confirmed when the new line-up of rides is announced.

In a previous edition, the organisers also promoted the so-called Bummelpass. It combined ride tickets and discounts at various stalls. It is not yet known whether the pass will be available again in 2027 or how much it will cost.

The Grafschaft Bentheim Tourism calendar lists five event days, from 6 to 10 May 2027. However, the times given in the available tourism listings do not fully match. The daily schedule shown here follows the current event listing for 2027. You should therefore check the final announcement from the City of Nordhorn before your visit.

Admission and typical funfair experiences

According to regional tourism information, entry to Neumarkt is free. You pay separately for rides, games and food and drink. You can choose whether to simply take a stroll around the site or try several rides. There is no separate admission charge at the funfair stalls.

Getting to the Nordhorn May Market

Neumarkt is centrally located in 48529 Nordhorn. There are parking spaces nearby, although some areas may be unavailable during the set-up.
