The Westfield Centro Christmas market 2026 invites you to Neue Mitte in Oberhausen from 13 November to 23 December 2026. Around the shopping centre promenade, you can explore three festively decorated Christmas market areas with around 140 wooden huts, winter specialities and gift ideas.
Westfield Centro Christmas market 2026: Three festive market areas
The Christmas markets in the outdoor area of Westfield Centro combine a stroll among decorated wooden huts with a visit to the shopping and leisure facilities in Neue Mitte. Around 140 huts offer arts and crafts, Christmas decorations, gifts, and sweet and savoury treats. The selection ranges from hot cocoa and mulled wine to crêpes and other seasonal specialities. If you’re looking for a break, you can enjoy the Alpine atmosphere of FlachauAlm.
Westfield Centro Christmas market 2026: Families and children
Families will also find plenty to discover: a toboggan run with real snow, a talking fairy-tale tree, the Wichtelbahn and a children’s carousel are among the attractions announced. From 6 to 23 December, you can meet Santa Claus every day from 14:30 to 18:30 at the Bergweihnachtsmarkt near the toboggan run. This makes it easy to combine a relaxed visit to the market with little experiences for children.
Christmas market opening with drone show
On Friday, 13 November, the Christmas Opening begins at 17 with the Lights-On Ceremony in the central dome. The ceremonial keg tapping at FlachauAlm follows at 17:45. A drone show over the Neue Mitte is scheduled for 18. On opening day, the market is open from 17 to 21.
