Kessel-Lo – KesselViert 2027

KesselViert Kessel-Lo 2027 continues the Whitsun tradition of the former Kesselse Feesten in the Kessel-Lo district of Leuven. According to the publicly described annual schedule, the core period for the Whitsun weekend 2027 is Saturday, 15 May, to Whit Monday, 17 May. A separate announcement listing all operating days for the 2027 edition has not yet been issued.

KesselViert Kessel-Lo 2027: funfair and neighbourhood festival

At KesselViert, showman attractions and a local festival come together. So you can look forward not only to a traditional funfair atmosphere, but also to the feel of a neighbourhood gathering. Since 2025, a new association has continued the long-standing tradition after the former Kesselse Feesten were initially discontinued. The new concept aims to preserve the character of the festival while taking greater account of the local area.

The venue has not yet been confirmed

The 2025 and 2026 editions took place in Heuvelhofpark. However, this is not a reliable destination for 2027: because the park is due to be redeveloped, the association had to look for another site. Kessel-Lo is therefore listed only as a general location. The exact site, access routes and any road closures will be added once the official location has been decided. Please do not travel to the former park based solely on older photos or plans.

Rides and food and drink

In previous years, the association put together a mix of classic funfair attractions, bars and festival tents, as well as family-friendly activities. The City of Leuven explicitly lists the funfair as part of the festival that is being continued. The individual showmen and food stalls taking part in 2027 have not yet been announced. Therefore, neither ride names nor individual ride prices have been confirmed for the new edition.

KesselViert Kessel-Lo 2027 and the Whitsun programme

The flea market on Whit Monday was especially popular in previous years. There was also music, opportunities to meet in the festival tent and activities for children. The organisers put together separate programmes for these each year. It is not yet known whether the flea market will take place on Monday, 17 May, 2027, or which stage events will return. Only a current announcement can confirm these as programme items.

Opening hours and admission

Opening times are provisional, as of 2026. For planning purposes, the festival times reported by the organiser for the corresponding days in previous years have been used; actual ride operating times may differ. Admission to the festival was free in 2026, but the conditions and ride prices for 2027 have not yet been announced. No definitive information is currently available about step-free access at the new site either.
