Operator: Pierre A. Lemmerman · since 2023
Dragon – Lemmerman is a travelling family roller coaster from the Netherlands. Its dragon theme and classic Brucomela track layout appeal especially to young roller coaster fans. The coaster belongs to Pierre Lemmerman and is a ride in its own right – not to be confused with the many other roller coasters called Dragon.

What to expect
- Family-friendly
A classic, winding dragon roller coaster for families, with a history of travelling with several Dutch showmen.
Dragon at Dutch funfairs
The coaster can be found at different funfair sites across the Netherlands. In 2026, for example, Dragon was listed under Lemmerman for the spring funfair in Goes and the autumn funfair in Almere Buiten. This fits its role as a mobile family roller coaster: it complements larger circular rides and spectacular attractions with an option for visitors who enjoy the classic roller coaster experience.
If you'd like to discover more travelling roller coasters, you'll find them in our attractions overview. With Dragon, it's especially worth looking at the history of its individual operators – it tells the story of how the same ride travelled around Dutch funfairs under different names.
Dragon – Lemmerman: riding the dragon train
On Dragon, you ride in a roller coaster train that is first pulled uphill by a chain lift after you board. From there, it takes you along the winding track. The coaster features a series of small drops and tight turns rather than loops or spectacular inversions. This makes it an easy introduction to roller coasters: you can follow the course of the track from outside, then experience the turns from the train.
The shared lap bar keeps riders secure during the ride. The concept of a portable Brucomela roller coaster combines a compact layout with the feel of a real roller coaster ride. The sight of the dragon train making repeated circuits makes the attraction a distinctive feature of the fairground, even for families watching from the sidelines.

History of Dragon – Lemmerman
The ride was built in 2009 by Turkish manufacturer DAL Amusement Rides. It initially travelled with Kroon, then with Moonen from 2012 to 2017, and with Peter Stroucken in 2018. It was then operated as Dragon Family Coaster by Dauphin/van der Beek from 2019 to 2022. Since 2023, the ride has belonged to Pierre Lemmerman, who operates it under the names Dragon and Family Dragon Coaster.
This sequence of operators is important because several family-friendly roller coasters with dragon themes travel around the Netherlands. The Dragon now operated by Lemmerman is the DAL ride from 2009; a similarly named attraction owned by another showman is therefore not automatically the same roller coaster. The manufacturer and traceable travel history make this ride easy to identify.

Who is the family roller coaster suitable for?
Dragon is for visitors who want to experience a classic roller coaster ride without choosing a major thrill coaster. Children keen to try their first roller coaster and adults who prefer riding together rather than alone are an obvious audience. Unlike on a spinning coaster, the cars do not also rotate on their own axis. You experience the track in the train's fixed direction of travel.
For families, it's particularly helpful that you can easily see how the ride works from the outside: the train climbs the lift hill, goes through the turns and returns to the station. The access conditions displayed on site and the staff's instructions determine whether you can ride.
