Hakendover – Paaskermis 2027
What to expect
Paaskermis Hakendover 2027 is scheduled for Saturday, 27 March to Tuesday, 30 March 2027, in accordance with the city of Tienen's current funfair regulations. This small funfair is part of the Easter weekend in Hakendover, a district of Tienen in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The city has not yet published the individual event days for 2027 separately.
Paaskermis Hakendover 2027: dates under the city regulations
The city's funfair regulations from May 2024 specify the extended Easter weekend and the following Tuesday for Hakendover, a total of four days. This means that 2027 the period runs from Easter Saturday to the Tuesday after Easter. The city may still confirm the exact dates. For example, five days were listed in the event calendar 2026. So it's worth checking the city's latest announcements before travelling.
The funfair site on Processieweg
The city of Tienen explicitly lists Processieweg as the site of the Hakendover funfair. This places the funfair in the heart of the village, rather than on the large squares in Tienen city centre. An up-to-date site plan showing the exact layout of the stalls for 2027 has not yet been published. It is also unclear whether access roads nearby will be temporarily restricted over the Easter weekend.
Paaskermis Hakendover 2027 and the Easter tradition
Hakendover is especially known for its horse procession on Easter Monday. This distinct tradition is part of village life and attracts visitors from the region. The funfair adds rides and typical showmen's attractions to the festivities. However, the procession is not part of the funfair programme. You should check the official details of the procession and any related activities separately.
Rides, food and prices
The showmen and rides that will actually be on Processieweg for 2027 have not yet been announced. So we are deliberately not listing attractions that are only presumed to be confirmed. Ride prices and any special offers are also not yet known. The same applies to whether admission to the site will be charged. Details can be added as soon as the city announces a confirmed line-up of rides.
Opening times and planning your visit
Official opening hours for the 2027 edition are not yet known, and we do not have reliable opening times from previous years. So don't plan around guessed times. If you're visiting with children or want to combine your visit with the horse procession, check the event information in advance. Processieweg is the officially designated funfair site, but parking and special traffic arrangements for 2027 have not yet been confirmed separately.
