Opwijk – Carnavalkermis 2027
What to expect
Carnavalkermis Opwijk 2027 is the traditional funfair date around Palm Sunday in Opwijk, Belgium. For 2027, the applicable municipal funfair regulations indicate Sunday, 21 March, as the key date. When planning your visit, please note that the full event has not yet been announced separately.
Carnavalkermis Opwijk 2027: What is confirmed about the date?
The municipality lists Carnavalkermis as a recurring public funfair. The funfair regulations set it for the Sunday before Easter and specify a one-day duration. Easter Sunday falls on 28 March in 2027, so the preceding Sunday is 21 March. However, the general municipal website refers to a weekend before Easter and gives Saturday and Sunday for 2026. We are therefore initially limiting the calendar entry to the Sunday that can be reliably inferred. The municipality still needs to confirm whether rides will also open on Saturday, 20 March 2027, for this edition.
Location of Carnavalkermis Opwijk 2027
The municipal regulations name the car park on Kloosterstraat as the location for Carnavalkermis. This is not necessarily the same layout as for the winter or summer funfair, which are planned for other streets in the town centre. The map marker shows the Kloosterstraat area for orientation; a detailed site plan for 2027 is not yet available. Allow some time to follow the local signs.
Rides and atmosphere
A public funfair brings together showmen with attractions and funfair food stalls. However, the specific stalls setting up in Opwijk for 2027 have not yet been officially confirmed. We are therefore deliberately not listing individual rides or supposed new attractions. The actual selection is important if you are visiting with your family, but it can only be reliably assessed once an up-to-date line-up of rides or a municipal announcement is available.
Opening times, prices and possible special features
Full daily opening times have not been published for the 2027 edition. There is also no confirmed information yet about ride prices, admission arrangements or special offers. Information from the previous year would not confirm anything for March 2027. The opening times section will therefore remain blank for now; the technical date display should not be taken as operating hours. Check the municipality's latest information before setting off.
Getting there and other funfair dates
The funfair area mentioned is on Kloosterstraat in Opwijk. It is not yet known whether parking nearby will remain available during set-up or whether traffic restrictions will apply for 2027. If travelling by public transport, check a current connection to Opwijk and follow the signs from there. You can find other fairs on Kirmestermine.eu; Winterkermis Opwijk is a separate event and should not be confused with this edition. The Municipality of Opwijk will publish any confirmed changes; the specific Sunday rule is set out in the official funfair regulations.
