Wild Mouse – René Bufkens
Reverchon spinning coaster with rotating cars
Operator: René Bufkens / Bufkens Attractions bvba (Belgium)
Wild Mouse Bufkens is a travelling spinning roller coaster operated by Belgian showman René Bufkens. The ride was made by the French manufacturer Reverchon and built in 1999. It combines tight turns with cars that spin freely around their own axis during the ride. This means you experience the track a little differently on every ride.

Highlights & records
The cars spin freely in the second section of the track; 420 metres of track with no inversions. Refurbished appearance 2013.
Tight turns, spinning cars and a compact track make Wild Mouse especially varied.
What it’s like to ride Wild Mouse Bufkens
The ride begins with a chain lift to a height of around 13 metres. This is followed by a compact track of tight hairpin turns and short drops. At first, your car stays facing forwards. In the second section of the track, the spinning mechanism is released and the car starts to spin. You’ll face forwards, sideways and sometimes even backwards towards the next drop.
How much your car spins depends, among other things, on how the weight is distributed. So riding four to a car often feels different from riding two to a car.

History of Wild Mouse Bufkens
Reverchon launched its spinning coasters in the late 1990s, and the design quickly became a hit at European funfairs. Bufkens’ ride has been travelling to fairgrounds in Belgium for many years. For a time, it was also at Plopsa Coo theme park. In 2013, it was given a new look. Today, it appears at events including the Foire de Liège.

Who is this roller coaster suitable for?
Wild Mouse is ideal if you like roller coasters but don’t need inversions. That makes it a good introduction to faster rides for families with older children. The minimum height is displayed at the entrance. If you’re sensitive to spinning, watch a car on the track first. Good to know: with four seats per car, you can ride together as a group.
