Rentier-Express – Küchenmeister

Design and special features

The event organiser's official website specifically describes the train as a Christmas train and says that its route passes through the fairytale forest. Unlike a ride on rails with descents and fast turns, the focus is on taking in the scenery together. Adults can ride the train too.

The design helps the ride blend into the overall themed setting, especially at the Christmas market. Even after dark, the lighting and decorations are an important part of the experience.

Rentier-Express: what to expect on the ride

On Rentier-Express, a small train takes you through the fairytale forest at Cranger Weihnachtszauber. As the train makes its circuit, figures such as snowmen, nutcrackers, polar bears and elves appear along the track. The experience combines a gentle train ride with its own Christmas-themed setting.

You can watch the guests enjoying the ride from the edge and see which seats are available. So it is worth taking a moment to watch how the ride moves before getting on.

Rentier-Express: background and funfair appearances

Rentier-Express is part of the family programme at Cranger Weihnachtszauber. The industry guide for 2026 lists Küchenmeister as the operator. It is part of the winter-themed spectacle, with decorations along the train route adding to the attraction.

Who is the attraction suitable for?

Even very young children can ride when accompanied by an adult. According to the event organiser, children can ride on their own from the age of three. For families, the train can be a relaxing break from the faster-paced funfair programme.

You can find more family rides and major funfair attractions in our attraction guide. The applicable safety and access rules are always displayed at the ride.
