Design and safety track
The official Rheinkirmes description confirms that the safety track runs across three levels. It also allows younger visitors to be accompanied during the ride. The name Sieben Himmelfahrten therefore does not mean that the ride has seven floors or seven different descents.
The sources from the organisers used here do not confirm an exact year of construction, manufacturer or current external dimensions. Some databases list additional details, but these are not included as confirmed metadata without clear verification. For visitors, the specific choice of vehicles and the options for accompanying children at the entrance are what matter.
The Sieben Himmelfahrten ride experience
The vehicles follow a track arranged across three levels. Familiar car brands serve as models for the small carousel vehicles. Parents can accompany their children and stay close to them if they wish. This also makes the ride appealing to families who want to share a first carousel experience.
The different levels change the view as you go around. Children sit in the vehicles they have chosen and follow a set route. Unlike on bumper cars, they do not have to steer around cars moving freely. Looking at the vehicles and waving to accompanying adults are part of this little journey.

Operator and funfair tradition
The official Cranger list names Kirsten Schmelter as the operator of Sieben Himmelfahrten. Rheinkirmes also identifies the classic children's carousel as belonging to the Düsseldorf showman family Schmelter. The ride combines a familiar carousel design with a distinctive track layout.
Tips for a family visit
The Cranger organiser does not specify a general age restriction for children and recommends that they be accompanied. Ask staff how this works for each vehicle and which seat is suitable. You can find out the prices at the ticket office. Sieben Himmelfahrten is part of Cranger Kirmes 2026. See the rides overview for more children's carousels.
